Christmas Part 3

Ok, here are the last 2 Christmas cards I made last week. My hands got cramped tearing out all those layers for the Nativity card. That's just one of the hazards of crafting. I inked the edges of the light blue and then added the ribbon to the bottom. I really messed up on this card while filling the order and ran out of ribbon, so, I had to do a whole new design for the order. I hate when that happens. I hope she likes the new design as well as this one.
On the last card in this series I stamped one half with Filigree Background and heat embossed it. The sentiment was inked with Versa Mark and then in Garden Green and embossed with clear EP on Brushed Gold card stock.
All stamps (except the Nativity) and card stock are from Stampin' Up.
I hope you enjoyed looking at my Christmas Cards. I'm sure there will be more later on. Now I have to get busy working on some more samples, otherwise next week I won't have anything to post.
Thanks for looking. Have a wonderful weekend. Blessings to all.

Christmas Part 2

Here are two more Christmas cards I made last week. All products used are from Stampin' Up.
The first card I stamped in gold and heat embossed then layered. The colors I used were Handsome Hunter, Bravo Burgundy and Brushed Gold. I also heat embossed the Merry Christmas at the bottom.
The second entry is a super quick and easy card. I double stamped the trees, moving the stamp a little to the left on the second stamp without reinking. The corners were punched with the Corner Notch Punch and layered on Night of Navy cardstock and then onto the white base card.
I hope you enjoyed looking at my cards today. Feel free to leave a comment.
Thanks for looking.

Christmas in September

I said yesterday that I would start posting Christmas cards today, so here we go. The first card is one of my favorites. I used Brushed Gold card stock as my base and layered on top of that. The Angel was stamped on Bravo Burgundy using gold pigment ink and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The sentiment was also embossed. This card looks so much better in real life.
The next card was done using Real Red card stock. The side was stamped with Versa Mark and heat embossed with silver EP.
The stamp sets used on these cards were On Angel Wings and Sketch It. All supplies (except gold ink and Versa Mark) are from Stampin' Up.

Kisses From Heaven

Here's the snow I promised. This card was really fun to make. I tore the navy card stock and attached it to the white. The bucket of snowballs was masked so the bear could be stamped sitting behind it. I put Liquid Applique on the snowballs to make them dimentional. This stamp set came from Close to my Heart stamp company, card stock is SU.
Tomorrow, get ready for Christmas!
Thanks for looking..........Rita

Glitter Tulip

Another weekend has come and gone. I wanted to get some stamping done, but that didn't happen, maybe today. I just have 2 cards left and then I'll start posting the Christmas cards I made last week.
I can't remember what colors I used on this card, but I think it's Rose Red and Garden Green. The stamp is from Terrific Tulips. I put glitter on the main image and for some reason the scan shows a little yellow on the flower. The Butterfly Thanks at the bottom came from an unknown stamp set. I thought it would go well with this card, but you can't really see the butterfly.
Thanks for looking & get ready for snow tomorrow.

Masking-August Birthday

This card was done using the "Masking Technique". That's where you stamp an image, cut it out and then use it to cover the image you stamp on the card so that anything you stamp overlapping it will look like it's behind the first one.
I used another one of my favorite Stampin' Up sets, In Full Bloom, on this card. It's hard to tell from the scan, but I put Stickles Glitter Glue in the center of the flowers. I also added an organdy ribbon bow to the bottom just before I mailed it.
Thanks for looking and have a Blessed weekend.

Second Fossil Stone

After doing the first card using this technique I decided to add a third color just to see how it would look. I haven't decided if I like the card, but I do like the way the background turned out.
Thanks for looking.

New Technique

I saw this new technique called Fossil Stone and thought I would give it a try. You take two ink pads and dab them one at a time on one side of an opened cello bag (cut down one side to make a folder). Then you fold the top over and smooth it out with the palm of your hand and fingers. Next open the folder, lay two sheets shiny white card stock, back to back, on top and close the folder. Now use your brayer over the top , I turned it over and did both sides, open and remove card stock and you now have a neat looking background.
I stamped this one using Petal Prints from Stampin' Up and finished it with Faux Stitching and some ribbon.
Thanks for looking.

Just Say "NO"!

What is wrong with me???? Why do I have to keep looking through the swaps at SCS and then find one I just HAVE to join? Why can't I just say "NO"? Well, I did it again, joined another one. This one is for a Christmas Stocking Stuffer. It's always a lot of fun seeing what others come up with and I just couldn't resist. The little tote bag is just something I did for the fun of it and has nothing to do with the swap, just thought I would add it to the post. Now for the swap. I know you're looking at this and saying, what is this? Well, I'm going to tell you. It's a Belly Button Blow Dryer! If you look towards the bottom of the bag you'll see a piece of straw. Right above that is this poem, A belly button blow dryer ensures lint will not prevail. Just be careful when using...When too close, don't inhale!
The blocks were stamped and embossed in gold. I colored the leaves and berries with glitter pens, punched holes and tied it with the ribbon.
I don't know why, but women just go crazy over things like this. I hope you enjoyed today's entry. thanks for looking and have a great day. ~~Rita~~

Rooster in Red

I got my Christmas card samples done and I'm now working on the order. I worked on them yesterday and have the first four almost done. I will start posting them after I've posted the cards that have been in my file for a long time.
Todays entry is another stamp from the same set I used to do the Castle a couple of days ago. This is a rooster collage that I added some raffia to. I crimped the corner, turned it up and added a star brad then stamped the sunflower. This is not one of my favorite cards, but I do love the stamp set.
Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Men Only

Wow! Can you believe it's Friday again, already??? Where does the time go? Today I'll be working on some more Christmas Card samples, I need to make at least 2 more before I send them off for aproval to the person I'm making them for, she gets to choose 4 out the 6 and then I can get started on filling her order.
Today's entry is a card for the men. It can be used as a Thank You, Birthday, Note Card or Father's Day. I left a small area in the right corner to stamp the sentiment. All supplies are from Stampin' Up except the background map, I printed that off the computer. The stamps are from the Set Sail set.
Well, it's the weekend, so have a Blessed one. Until next week, thanks for looking.

Tone on Tone

I've always liked tone on tone and this stamp from Stampin' Up just seemed to be perfect for that technique. I used French Script on the card itself and layered the main image on top of that. I added the ribbon in a different color for interest. Well, I've been busy this week making Christmas card samples, so you can look forward to seeing them soon. The only one you won't see is the one I decide to use myself. That's it for today. Thanks for looking...........Rita

Pink Lady

Wow, I can't believe this month is almost half over. It's time to get started on those Christmas cards again. Fall is almost here, my favorite time of year when the leaves change color and the temperature goes down. Today's entry was made using 3 different sets from 3 different companies. The background and the saying came from Stampin' Up!,as was the card stock, the strip through the center is from Hero Arts & the girl is from The Angel Company (TAC). I made this card for our niece in NY for her birthday this month. This has been a busy month for birthday cards.
Thanks for looking & have a Blessed day.

Christmas!

Are you ready for Christmas? I was thinking the other day that I should get started on making my cards for this year. It takes me awhile to come up with just the right one. So, since I'm going to have a lot of free time next month then that's when I'll get down to work and do some serious stamping.
I had a Stampin' Up workshop yesterday and this is one of the cards we made. You can't tell from the scan, but the dove has glitter on it. This card is so much prettier in person. We used one of the new colors, I believe it's called Cranberry Crisp and the new stamp set Wishing You from the Holiday Mini. Thanks for looking.

Daisy Blocks

I saw a card similar to this and really liked it. All supplies used are Stampin' Up! The flowers were stamped on different colors using basic black ink and then attached to the black card stock. I used the Filigree Background stamp on the blue and stamped the sentiment on top of that.
Thanks for looking and have a Blessed weekend.

Getting Buggy

Okay, I got new stamps and had to play with some of them. These are from The Angel Company and are so cute. The first one is a Get Well card and says, heard you caught a bug. The jar stamp is from a Stampin' Up!
set called All Wrapped Up.

The second one is a Note Card. I stamped the saying on twill tape and stuck it under the main image and says, have you heard the buzzzzzz? The background is from Itty Bitty Backgrounds by Stampin' Up! I think I like this one the best because it's a ladybug. My computer area has ladybugs all over the place.
Now I'm off to see what I can play with today. Thanks for looking.

Oh, Baby!

Well, I decided since the mother of the little boy I watch is expecting #2 next month I'd better get some samples ready. This one is in case it's another boy, of course I'm hoping for a girl. Anyway, the stamps are from Stampin' Up! as is the paper and ink. The ribbon I got at Wal-Mart.
I got some new stamps from The Angel Company (TAC) yesterday so I'm off to play with those today. Thanks for looking and Happy Stamping!

Let's Dance

Good morning and Happy Labor Day to all. The sun is out and it looks like it's going to be a beautiful day. Hope you're all getting out there and enjoying it.
Today's entry is a Note Card I did for fun. I got this stamp set from The Angel Company and combined it with the sentiment stamp from Stampin' Up! stamps. The printed paper is also from TAC. I found the button in my button box and attached it to the ribbon for extra embellishment.
Thanks for looking.
