Oh So Sweet

I've had this paper hidden away for so long that I forgot all about it. While cleaning my craft room over the weekend I ran across it and decided to put some of it to use. About time, don't you think? The card stock colors I used are Ruby Red, Close to Cocoa and whisper White. The stamp set is a retired set called Oh So Sweet. So, what do you think? Doesn't it look like you could just grab a handful of chocolate?
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you all had a wonderful Monday....Rita

Found

That's right, Cheryl has been found and the stamp set is going out to her tomorrow....Did you notice anything new??? After much prompting from Jen over at Pieces of Me I've decided to install FeedBlitz. Now you can sign up to get emails to let you know when I've updated my blog. Cool, huh? Today's card was made with the leftover card stock from another card I did. It's my favorite color, Brocade Blue that was embossed with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. The background on the main image is a retired lace that I got in a trade so I don't know what it's called. The stamp set I used is The Art of Life which I colored with Brocade Blue and Garden Green Markers. The sentiment was stamped using Basic Black. Stamps, Ink and Card Stock are from Stampin' Up!
I'm working on my craft room again, moving furniture and rearranging things, so I hope I'm able to get in some stamp time this weekend. So until Monday, God's Blessings to you all...

Cheryl K., Where Are You????

I have not heard from my winner Cheryl K. yet. I'll give her until Monday to contact me. If I don't hear from her I will go to random.org and pick a winner from all the comments on the original post. Does that sound fair?

We're supposed to have storms later today so I'm posting early. I made this card yesterday using some ribbon and slider from the blog candy I received from Jacki Jones. The stamp is from Rubber Stampede. I used Brocade Blue card stock and ink for the main card. The background is Floral stamped on Shimmery White. The main image was water colored using generic watercolor crayons. To wrap the ribbon around I cut a slit in the fold and slid it through and taped both ends together on the inside. I hope you all are having good weather where you are. I don't mind rain but I can do without the storms.......Rita

Friend

Sorry I'm so late today, I've just been super busy with other things. That's right, I do have a life outside of rubber stamping. I didn't know what I was going to share with you today since I didn't have time to make anything today, maybe tomorrow. Then I ran across this Tri-Fold card I forgot to post a couple of weeks ago with my Stamps in the Mail cards. This is my first Tri-Fold and it was a lot of fun to make.......Thanks for looking!

WE HAVE A WINNER ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Wow! That was quick. I really didn't think you would get it that fast. We're not Step Sisters, half sisters, twins or adopted. My sister was born in April and I came along the following year in March. So every year we are the same age for 26 days. This Thursday she will once again be older than me....Congratulations Cheryl K for being the first one to guess it right. Email me your address and I'll get this set out to you. Thanks to everyone who participated......The next time I'll try to come up with a harder question.. You all are just too smart..

Who Wants Blog Candy?

The weather man is calling for storms later today so I decided to get this posted early.

I was cleaning up my stamping room and ran across this set of clear stamps. I can't even remember when I bought them so I thought they would make good blog candy. Here's how it's going to work this time. I'm going to ask a question and the first one to answer correctly wins. If no one comes up with the answer by Thursday the 26th then I will post the answer and draw a winner using the random.org number selector. Ready? Here's the question.....My sister and I are the same age, we are not twins. How can that be? Relatives are not allowed to play.....Good luck!
I'll be back later, if it doesn't storm, to share a card with you......Rita

I've Been Tagged-Again!

I know I don't usually post on the weekends, but it seems that I've been tagged again by Jen over at Pieces of Me. This one is a little different. I have to list seven things about myself and then tag seven other bloggers to do the same. This is a way to get to know each other better. So here goes.
1. My husband and I met in October and got married in January.
2. My drink of choice is water, especially the flavored kind.
3. When we go out to eat instead of paying the high price for iced tea I order water and pour in my own Peach Tea that I carry in my purse.
4. Stamping isn't my only hobby. I also like to scrapbook, sew and read.
5. I'm allergic to everything I breathe. Aaaaaaa choo!
6. I have nearly 200 Stampin' Up! stamp sets
7. I'm in my nineteenth year of child care in my home.
Okay, now that wasn't easy. I've decided to tag some new bloggers I've just found recently. I think their blogs are worth checking out so please go visit them.

1. http://oodabugalley.blogspot.com
2. http://sweetpeasentiments.blogspot.com
3. http://susanbluerobot.blogspot.com
4. http://blog.stampingspot.com

Color Combo Challenge and Happy Mail!

This is the card I made for the Color Combo Challenge over at Pieces of Me. The challenge was to make a card using at least 3 of the colors posted. They were Lavender Lace, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery. I managed to use all 4 colors on this plain and simple card. I hope someone likes it...... Happy Mail! Today I recieved the blog candy I won from Linda Black over at Celebration Moments. Will you just look at all that stuff! I can't wait to introduce those stamps to my ink pads. I think they will get along really well. Thanks Linda!
Well that's it for another week. I hope you all have a great weekend. See you in church.........Rita

RAK from Allison

Wow, two posts in one day! I'm on a role....My mail carrier brought me some happy mail today. Allison over at Stampin' When I Can sent me this beautiful RAK. In case you don't know what that means, it's Random Acts of Kindness. If you've never visited her blog you can find it to the left under all the cartoons. Allison is a super blogger. She keeps us up to date on where to find all the Blog Candy and other bits of information, plus she is very talented. Why not pop on over and check her out. Tell her I sent you...Thanks Allison for the beautiful card.

My offering for today is a card I whipped up the other day. I got this from the Stampin' Up Seeing Spots Idea Sheet . I changed the color combo and stamped on the circles instead of leaving them naked as in the picture. I also added the sentiment across the top, the original was blank. The colors I used were Bordering Blue, Almost Navy and More Mustard. Stamp sets were Riveting and Vogue Verses. All supplies are from Stampin' Up except the Ribbon stamp which is from Hero Arts. Thanks for looking and as always, comments are welcome.......Rita

Cutie Patooties and A Card

I just had to share this picture of my "kids" with you today. This is my husband holding Amelia 6 mo and Madison 4 mo with Nolan 3 yrs. standing at his side. This is the last week for me to have Amelia and Nolan. They're moving north of here this weekend and I may never get to see them again. It's funny how attached you get to these kids when you have them every day. I've had Nolan for 3 yrs and I'm going to miss both of them very much. I will be getting 2 little girls starting next week so that might help.......Also, I've been in a lot of pain lately with the Arthritis in my back and hip and lifting Amelia wasn't helping, and now the Fibro is keeping me awake at night. I have trouble going to sleep on my back because of it and I can't lay on my side because of the Arthritis. Let me just tell you, getting old IS NOT fun!!!!
OK enough of that, you probably want to see what I have to share with you today. This is the third card we did at the workshop. We used the Summer by the Sea set from Stampin' Up! I have to admit that this is my favorite card of the three. I stamped the background with French Script and used the Watercolor Crayons and Aqua Painter to color the image. The DREAM stamp is from the A is for Adorable level 2 hostess set. All products used are from Stampin' Up!
Thanks for looking and have a great evening............Rita

Polka Dots and Paisley

This is the second card we made at the workshop. We used the Polka Dots and Paisley stamp set from Stampin' Up! I loved this set the first time I saw it. I always have my order ready when I arrive at my workshops and this was on it. I was soooo happy that we were making a card using this set. I'll have my very own set next week, woo hoo I can't wait to play with it.....
The designer paper we used is Rebbecca from Stampin' Up! Well that's it for today. Thanks for looking!

Seeing Spots

Good evening everyone. I hope you all had a nice weekend. My friend Connie and I went to a workshop and this is one of the cards we made. This is not one of my favorite sets, but I like working with it at workshops. I can never come up with any good ideas on my own. I think the colors we used were Rose Red, Taken with Teal and Whisper White. The sentiment was stamped with Cool Caribbean. I'll be back tomorrow with another card we did. Thanks for looking.

Stamps in The Mail #2

Can you believe it's Friday already. Where is the time going? It just seems to be flying by.....Anyway, this is the second card I made from the Stamps in The Mail program. All the supplies used for this program are from Stampin' Up!.....Tomorrow I'm going to another workshop so I should have something to show you Monday. My stamp time has really been limited lately so I might have to take a couple of days off here and there to catch up. I'm behind in my Christmas Card Challenge and I really need to get caught up on some scrap booking. So, with that said, here's today's card. Thanks for looking and I hope you all have a Blessed weekend....

Stamps in The Mail

OK, so it wasn't enough to join a card club, I had to sign up for a program called Stamps in The Mail. Oh wait, I signed up for 2 of those. Anyway, the way it works is I pay a monthly fee and get a package in the mail containing all the supplies I need to make 3 or 4 cards. My first one arrived the other day and in it was this stamp set from the Spring Mini called That's Nice, 3 stamp pads and pre-cut card stock, designer paper, ribbon and embellishments to finish 3 cards. This is the first one I did. I really like this stamp set, I think it's going to see a lot of use.....Thanks for looking.....Rita

Playing With ATC's

I have all these extra ATC's just lying around and I decided to do something with them. Today I decided to make a full sized card with one of the ATC's. The colors are Bordering Blue, Brocade Blue and Basic Black. I used the flower Embossing Folder for the background and adhered that to the card front. Then I attached the ATC and all done! The colors look better IRL.....Thanks for looking....Rita

Hogs and Kisses

I hope everyone had a nice Easter. I know I did. My church did a live program of the Last Supper. It was so awesome, I almost felt like I was there. Our daughter, son in-law and granddaughters came for dinner later in the day and we all enjoyed a good meal and conversation. Too bad it wasn't a little warmer, but then you can't have everything..... Now for today's entry. I made this card this morning. I've had this cute little stamp from Inkadinkadoo for years and decided it was time to introduce it to an ink pad. I just love the little pigs and the saying, Hogs and Kisses. All other supplies are from Stampin' Up! Colors used are Pixie Pink and Brocade Blue. The DP is from a Simply Scrappin Kit...Thanks for looking...Click on the card for a closer look....Rita
