Card Tote

I made this Card Tote using the tutorial over at Stamping Inspirations by Maria. Maria's having a giveaway and wants you to make something using one of her card sketches or tutorials and then sending her a picture of it. This is what I decided to make. I used the Simply Scrappin' Kit Just Delightful....... I like the way she uses the Round Tab Punch for the sides to hold the ribbon handle. This was so much fun to make and I'm really pleased with the way it turned out......
Remember those cute little baby birds I had outside my back door? Well come back tomorrow to see what happened to them....Thanks for stopping by............Rita

OK, So I Lied!

This is card # 4 from the Card Club. I know last night that I said I didn't have a favorite this month, but what can I say, I really like this one. Adrian if you're looking I know I did it backwards. I cut my card stock the wrong way and since I don't have any Cool Caribbean I had to change the layout a little, so if you don't say anything I won't say anything and no one will know the difference. You'll have to click on the picture to see the white dots I made with my Signo Pen.....Thanks for stopping by..

Card club #3

I almost forgot to post the last two cards I did for Adrian's Card Club. these long weekends really mess me up. Anyway, here is card #3 using the SU set Bar Code. Every month I save my favorite one for last but I'm not sure I have one this month. All four cards were really nice and it was hard to pick just one. I really like the color combination on this one and the Graduation one, and the designer paper on the Get Well. If you haven't visited Adrian's blog yet you can find it on my sidebar on the left. Stop by and tell her I sent you. thanks for looking......Rita

The featured stamp set was Mini Mates and the color combo was Ruby Red, More Mustard and Old Olive. Here is the sketch we had to follow...... And here is my card. You can't tell but I used Crystal Effects on the hearts of the music notes for my embellishment. If you haven't checked out Diane's blog yet why not do it now. You'll find her to the left in my sidebar. Thanks for looking............

Baby Birds

I know I posted earlier today, but I just had to show you our baby birds. I tried to get as close as I could so that you could see them. They are getting quite big and I suppose they will be leaving the nest soon. Here is mother Robin feeding her babies. This is the second year we've had a nest in this same spot. I guess they like being out of the rain and wind.

Sunday Morning Challenge

Good morning everyone. The kids are all taking naps so I thought I would get my post in early. This is my entry to Diane's Sunday Morning Challenge. I'm a little late with it because I just haven't been able to find time to stamp. Here's what we used for this challenge. Stamp Set-Lexicon of Love. Colors-Always Artichoke, Regal Rose and Elegant Eggplant. I followed the sketch and added an embossed background. The circle is also embossed using a small Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. I cut it out and found this little white flower in my button box to attach to the center. You can click on the card to get a bigger view. Thanks for stopping in. Have a safe Memorial Day weekend. I'll be back Monday evening......Rita

Go Play

Good morning everyone! I'll be back later with a card to share, but now I would like to invite you to go to another site and play a game. Adrian at Adrian's Crazy Life (left sidebar) has a puzzle game posted for you to try. I've been working on it the past couple of days and just posted my answers this morning. It was a lot of fun and very challenging. Also, while you're there check out her awesome blog. She's new to the blogging world so go check her out......

Giant Boo Boo

Have you ever had one of those days when you did something only to realize it was the wrong thing? Well, that's what happened to me today. I was reading my blog emails and at the bottom of the page there's a place to click if you want to unsubscribe. Well, I accidentally clicked on the wrong one and deleted ALL my subscriptions. All 108!!!! That was just the ones I get through Feed Blitz, luckily I didn't delete the ones I get from other feeds. I thought I was going to have to go through all my blogs and re-subscribe but after trying one of them and getting rejected I decided that I was just going to have to live without my emails and go to each and every one of them every day. Then I thought maybe if I go to my account I can figure out a way to get them back. Yeah! It seems that you can restore all the ones you've deleted through there. However, this did take quite a bit of time since I had to do each one separately. All 108 of them. Now I have all my subscriptions back and I can now read your blogs in my email again. Sorry ladies, I won't do that again........ Today's card is from Adrian's Card Club. This one uses Best Bar Codes stamp set from the Spring Mini. It doesn't show up very well in this picture. You can click on it to make it bigger.......Thanks for stopping in. I'm off to check my email to see if I have any new blog entries to read....

No Time For Stampimg

What a great weekend! Our company arrived Friday morning and it was go, go, go from then on. My sister in-law and I always have sooo much fun together. We went garage saleing with my daughter Friday afternoon and out for dinner that evening. Saturday we went shopping and had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. I've never been there and it was truly a great experience. The cheesecake, we had Chocolate Raspberry Truffle, was to die for! Then we all got together and went to dinner at O'Charley's. They left Sunday morning for home and I got to do the laundry, change sheets, grocery shop and get things back in order. And wouldn't you know, I got up with a terrible sinus headache. All things aside, I love having them come to visit and wish they could have stayed longer.
I didn't get in any stamping but I did find this card that I did using Doodle That....Thanks for stopping in!

I know I don't usually post on the weekend, but Diane over at Stamp With Diane has this Sunday Challenge and I had some time today to play a little. The challenge this week was a sketch, Tag Time stamp set and the colors Orchid Opulence, Tempting Turquoise, Gable Green and White. I used Confetti White and Cuddle Bugged my card stock. Oh So Sweet

I just couldn't resist making another card using this paper. I layered the main image with Real Red card stock. I stamped the image twice, once in Chocolate Chip and once in Real Red. I cut out the red and attached it to the card over the Chocolate Chip and then punched out a heart to put on the top. I just love this stamp set....... Here's another scrapbook page I did last weekend. This is my daughter and granddaughters on the left and all four of us on the right. I circle punched each one of the girls and put them at the bottom of the page. I circle punched myself for the other page and I'm still looking for a picture of my daughter to punch so I can finish the page.......
This is the last page that I will be posting. It was taken last summer of my husband and his 2 brothers and sister. I got punchy with this page too...
That's it for tonight. I hope you enjoyed my scrapbook pages as much as I did making them. Have a Blessed evening.......

More Pages and A Card

This is another one of my Day Care kids, Madison. She really loved that swing. The striped paper on the side is weaved in and out of slots that I punched in the pink card stock. This is my husband standing outside one of the stores we visited in Holmes County, Ohio. I bought the rubber stamp in the bottom right corner at a scrapbook store there. I still have to go back and do the journaling, I'm really bad at getting that done. For those of you that don't know, Holmes Co. is Amish country...........
I made this card for a challenge over at Stamp With Diane at http://stampwithdiane.blogspot.com/ The colors were Certainly Celery, Apricot Appeal and Whisper White. You had to use the stamp set In Full Bloom and those colors plus she had a sketch to follow. My card is very simple but that seems to be my style. I added Stickles Glitter Glue to the center of the flower to give it a little sparkle. If you haven't visited Diane's blog I urge you yo do so, she has a lot of great stuff there.
That's it for today. Thanks for looking and heave a Blessed evening.....

Cutie Patootie Scrapbook Pages

Here are 2 more pages I did Saturday at the crop. These are two of my day care kids Kassidy and Crista, they're sisters. I have a special scrapbook that I keep all my day care kids in and after almost nineteen years it's getting pretty full. I had to add pages and now I only have room for 2 more, so I guess I'll either have to get more pages or another book. If you click on the picture it will enlarge so that you can see it better. Tomorrow I'll add a card I made today. Thanks for looking and have a Blessed evening........Rita

RAK and Scrapbook Pages

What a great weekend I had. After winning the $25.00 Friday night I went to a scrapbook crop Saturday and won a prize there too! Woo hoo, I'm on a roll....The card I'm posting today is the RAK I received from Dawn Griffith for sending her some cards for the troops. Her hubby sees that they get them and from what I've heard, they are truly grateful. Thanks Dawn for the cute card.......
Next is one of the scrapbook pages I did at the crop Saturday. I think I finished 15 pages in all but I won't bore you with all of them, just a few. This one is a surprise Birthday party we had for my sister-in-law last summer when they were here from Rochester, NY. We made sure she got a lot of "Over the Hill" stuff.....The next one is two of my day care kids playing outside last summer.. That's it for today. Thanks for looking!

Doodle That

Sorry I'm late posting tonight. My daughter called and asked me to be a sub at her Bunco night and I just got home. We had a lot of fun and I won $25.00!!!! I've never played before but I'm sure I'll say yes the next time they ask.... I did this card yesterday. It's the first square card I've done, I'm just full of firsts today huh? Anyway, I used Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White card stock and the Sarah DP. The celebrate was stamped on a Round Tab Punch that was cut in half. The stamp set used was Doddle That. The ribbon was attached through a hole punched in the center of the Slot Punch and wrapped around the back and tied in front. I hope this makes sense. All products used are from Stampin' Up! .....Tomorrow I'm going to an all day scrapbook crop so maybe I'll have a couple of pages to share next week. Until then, happy stamping and have a Blessed weekend....Thanks for looking, Rita

ATC Swap

These are the swap cards I made yesterday. They're due June 1st and I'm just now getting them done...Supplies-Perennial Favorites stamp set, Ticket Corner Punch, Perfect Plum card stock and ink from Stampin' Up! The White card stock is from Wal-Mart. I'm not sure if you can tell in this picture, but I put Stickles Glitter Glue in the center of the wings to add some sparkle. I found the flower trim just laying around and not being used for anything so I decided to add it to the bottom since something more was needed.
Thanks for looking.....Rita

Christmas Card Challenge-April

Talk about being late. I was supposed to have these done for the April challenge and I just finished today. Now I have to get started on the ones for May and I don't even have any ideas for them......For this card I used Real Red and Whisper White card stock and Holiday Tag Team stamp set from Stampin' Up!. I embossed the white and the red circle with my Snowflake Embossing Folder. I punched the red using my Scalloped Circle Punch. After stamping Santa I cut the circle with my Fiskars Circle cutter and adhered it to the red scalloped circle. Santa was colored using Real Red and Garden Green Markers and Basic Black ink pad with a Blender Pen. The white was filled in with Liquid Applique and heat set with the heat gun. I used my Snap Stamps to write Merry Christmas, matted it and attached it to the bottom of the card...That's it for today. Thanks for looking........Rita
