Good evening friends and stampers. When I first started this blog I had a lot of cards that I had made over the years and had no problem finding something to share with you. When I ran out of those cards I had to find time to make something or not post at all. I don't always have time to just sit down and create something and what started out as fun and enjoyable has now become a chore. I've loved reading all your comments and will continue to read your blogs when time allows.
So, if you haven't guessed already, today I will be closing my blog and saying good-bye. I will still stamp and create in my spare time, which isn't as often as I would like but there are a lot of things that I have been neglecting and need to take care of.
I want to thank all who have followed me these past few years of blogging and also those who have so graciously left comments. I love and appreciate all of you.

Me, me, me.....

My friend Adrian at http://www.adrianscrazylife.blogspot.com/ has challenged me to make a list of 25 little known things about me. I'm supposed to tag 25 more friends to do the same on their blogs but I don't want to offend anyone so if you're reading this consider yourself tagged. This was a lot harder than I thought it would be so I gave it my best shot. If you don't get bored and read all the way through there will be a card at the bottom I thought I would share with you today. OK, here goes.....
1. I am a born again Christian and proud of it.
2. I've been married 41 years to the same man.
3. I love to craft, mostly rubber stamping and scrapbooking.
4. I suffer from chronic pain.
5. I love to read. Sometimes I have 3 books going at the same time.
6. I listen to only Christian music.
7.I'm afraid of tornadoes.
8. I hate my body. It needs a major over haul.
9. I don't like to do housework.
10. I've never had poison ivy, I tried to get it one time but it didn't take.
11. I played the violin in grade school.
12. My favorite subject in High School was Math.
13. I hitch hiked once. I was with my dad, brother and sister coming home from Indiana and the car broke down.
14. The farthest country I've ever been to is Canada, and that was just across the border.
15. I'm very competitive....Winning is everything!
16. I'm very emotional. I even cry during commercials on TV.
17. I'm not hard to get along with.
18. I'm not a morning person. Don't talk to me for at least a half hour to give me time to wake up.
19. I'm also not a night owl. I'm usually asleep by 10:30 every night.
20. I'm allergic to everything in the air.
21. I sneeze 20+ times during a sneeze attack. I've been known to get started at the grocery in the detergent aisle.
22. I have my own checking account.
23. I was born in the year of the Rooster.
24. The candles on my next birthday cake will be able to boil 7.31 ounces of water.
25. On my next birthday I will be 3,339 weeks old.

OK, I promised a card and here it is. I did this on my snow day using Treasure Life from Close to my Heart.

Got Snow????

We really got dumped on here. The last I heard it was 12" total before it finally quit at noon yesterday. So you ask, what do you do when you can't get out? You make cards of course, and that's just what I did. I made this one using three different stamp sets and my Slice die cutting machine. I cut the bird out using the Fall/School design card and glued it to the Whisper White card stock. The stamps I used are Treasure Life from Close to my Heart and In the Spotlight & Fresh Cuts from Stampin' Up......Now scroll down for some snow pictures... This is our neighbor, he always comes over and plows out our driveway. He is such a blessing.

Playing With My Slice

I was playing around with my Slice today and made this card.
The purple is the front flap and the pink is the inside. I put pink glitter on the cutout to add some sparkle. The ribbon is pink although it looks white. I had a lot of fun with this one and will show you tomorrow what I did with the leftover piece. I love my Slice!!!!

We made these cute little back pack boxes at Stamp Club last weekend. Isn't it just too cute???? You can fill it with candy, cards, gift items or anything you can think of that will fit inside. The small pocket on the front could hold a gift card. I thought this one would be cute for Valentines Day filled with candy and a small card. Here's a view of the other side.......................

Think Spring

At least we can dream about spring. It's still very cold here and I am getting really tired of freezing. I hope you are all keeping warm and if you aren't maybe this little butterfly will help. I made this card the same day as the one I posted Friday using the same colors but different layout. The stamp rocked a little leaving that line under the butterfly, pretend you don't see it. The butterfly stamp comes from Flight of the Butterfly and all supplies are from SU. Thanks for stopping by....Rita

Lighthouse

This is one of my favorite layouts. If you remember I did a card using this one a while back, same colors too. Anyway, the lighthouse is from one of my TAC sets that I like really well. I don't know the name of the set since it wasn't marked when I got it (bought it on SCS). The sentiment came from SU's Best Yet as did the card stock, ribbon and brads. Colors used are Purely Pomegranate, Old Olive, Taken with Teal and Pumpkin Pie Prints DSP.
It was 20 below zero at my house this morning and hasn't warmed up much since then. I'm trying to stay warm, hope you are all staying inside and doing the same. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by..............Rita

Makeover

I posted this card last week and thought it really needed something, so I added a button to the center. What do you think? Better huh? This is the card I made for a little girl I used to watch. I used the Scallop Punch for the faces and assorted circle punches for the eyes, nose and mouths. Big Birds beak is from the Five Petal Punch. I really had fun making this card. Update: I'm feeling better today, except for the pain, that's something I will have to learn to live with. I think the episode Monday was sinus related, this weather has really been hard on them and now I have a sinus headache. That I can handle. Thanks for your concerns. I saw my doctor last week and all is well heart wise. Now, if they could just fine a cure for Old Age!

Nothing Going on Here

I wasn't feeling well yesterday so I didn't get any stamping done. It was really weird. I got out of bed and I felt like my balance was completely off. I almost fell down trying to walk across the room and then again in the bathroom. By the time I got to the living room I was so hot I actually started to sweat, and I almost never sweat. Then the nausea set in. I'm in pain just about every minute of the day so I certainly don't need this to go with it. Anyway, I got up this morning and was feeling 100 % better, my balance is back and no more nausea. I just wish it was that easy to get rid of the pain, getting old IS NOT FUN! So, since I didn't get anything stamped yesterday I thought I would just share this super simple Valentine Card I made using my Slice. This is just about as simple as it gets. The smudge must have come from the scanner, pretend you don't see it. I'll have something stamped to share tomorrow.

No Time to Stamp

Well I was right, I didn't get a chance to stamp today so I have nothing to share with you today. So I decided to show you why I didn't get a chance to stamp today. This is reason #1. Mackinsey, 18 months and a little needy today. She's usually a very good child and a pleasure to have around. Today was just one of those off days you sometimes get even with the best child...... Reason #2. Lilly, 3 months and fussy allllll day. This was her first day here and I guess she just wasn't adjusting well. I'll only have her one day a week and I'm hoping next week will be better. Don't you agree that these are the two cutest kids you've ever seen?

Now you know how I spend my days, so if I don't get around to posting you'll know why. I also have a 4 year old but I don't have a picture to post. I'll try to get one tomorrow.

Live Your Dream

OK, this is the last card using these colors and Designer Series Paper. I used the Live Your Dream stamp set on this one with Really Rust and Chocolate chip card stock. The DSP is Juntos and the ribbon is More Mustard. All supplies are from Stampin' Up. I'm not sure if I'll have time to stamp tomorrow.
I have three kids coming and one of them is only 3 months old so it will be tough trying to decide what to do, stamp, hold baby, stamp, play with baby, stamp, decisions, decisions I'm sure I'll make the right one. Thanks for looking......Rita

Live Your Dream

Good evening friends. I don't know about you, but 6am came awful early this morning. I was getting used to sleeping in until 8:30-9:00 every day, but then of course you don't get paid for that. It was nice having "my" little ones back.

Another Manly Card

It's Friday, and that means my vacation is almost over. I only have two more sleep in days. I really miss my little ones but I'm NOT looking forward to getting up a 6am again, oh well, one more year and I can retire.......Last night hubby and I went to dinner and a movie. We decided we wanted to see Benjamin Button so that's where we went. The movie was good and I would recommend it, no dirty language or violence and the only nudity was the back view of an old man. The only thing I didn't like was the length. It ran well over 2 hours, fifty minutes over to be exact. I think they could have shortened it a bit and still had a good movie......
Today's card is another one I did for the men. The cardstock is Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Whisper White and Chocolate Chip. DSP is Juntos. Stamps are from Wildlife Reserve and Warmest Regards. I Have A New Toy

This is my newest toy. It's from Making Memories and it's called a Slice. You put these little design cards in the back of the machine and it cuts a lot of different images from 1 in to 4 inches. This little machine is so much fun to play with. And I almost forgot, it's cordless. You just plug it in and let it charge for 1 hour....... Here are some cuts I did while experimenting. Most of these are cut at 2 inches.

And for those looking for today's card, here it is. I did this one the other day using Wildlife Reserve and Warmest Regards stamp sets from SU. Card Stock colors are Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip. The DSP is Juntos. I thought this would make a nice manly Birthday Card. Thanks for looking!

Time is Running Out

Well, the Holidays are almost over. Christmas has come and gone once again and now we think about another new year. As we get older it seems like the years come and go a little too fast. Anyway, I had a nice Christmas with family. We had dinner and gift exchange with my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters Christmas Eve. Went to candle light service at church in the pouring rain, no white Christmas here, and enjoyed a quiet Christmas Day at home.

This week I decided it was time to clean out a few cupboards and get some things done around here. My next BIG project will be my craft room. My stamp sets need to be organized better so I know what I have. I was looking for a set the other day and found several that I forgot I even had, I mean I've had them several months and have never used them. How sad is that?

I did get a new toy while I was AWOL. It's called a Slice and it makes awesome die cuts. I'll show you a picture of it tomorrow.

OK, if you've stayed with me this far and are still wanting to see a card or something you're in luck. I found one that missed getting posted before Christmas. I made this one for my husband's brother and sister-in-law. She collects penguins and loves anything with penguins on it.
So, this is what I came up with for their Christmas Card. Sorry the photos aren't very good but you get the idea.

Lovely as A Tree

This is the last of the cards we made at the Christmas Open House I went to a while back. We used the all time favorite set Lovely As A Tree. This set is so versatile, it can be used for Christmas, Masculine cards, Sympathy, Birthday, Thinking of You, Thank You, Note Cards or just about anything you can think of. I love this set and will probably never part with it.

This will be my last post until after the first of the year. I've run out of samples to share with you and with the Holidays upon us I don't have a lot of time to make more. Besides that I have to get started on my Christmas cards so I can get them in the mail. I hope you all come back to visit when I return and have a safe and Happy Holiday Season. Here's sample number three. this one uses the Snow Swirled stamp set. The tree was stamped on Kiwi Kiss with Versa Mark and embossed with White EP. I then cut it out, added the brads and silver cord and attached it to the Riding Hood Red with dimensionals. Thanks for looking!

I saw this cute punched turkey somewhere and decided to give it a try. I changed the colors and I'm not sure if I used the same punches as the original, but here's my version made into a card. I stamped leaves on the background to give it a fall look. Click on the image for a better look.

Punched Girl Birthday

I have this little girl I watch and her birthday is this month. Lydia will be four and I wanted to make her a special card. I saw this idea somewhere and decided to see if I could copy it. I used different colors and I'm not sure if I used the same punches. She told me one day that she likes butterflies so I stamped them in the background. Expandable File Box

Well I hope you all got out there and voted today. I went at 9 this morning and the line was very long, but I got through pretty quick. This is a very important part of being an American, so if you didn't exercise your right to vote today then don't complain if your party doesn't win.........
Okay, now for today's project. I went to a class and we made these really nice expandable file boxes. I used Afternoon Tea Designer Series Paper for mine. This is the front, closed. This is the side view......

Crash and A Scarecrow

We were sitting around talking and thinking about where to go for dinner Friday evening when BOOM, this happened right out in our front yard. The woman driving this car went left of center and side swiped another car before losing control and flying through the air and landing here, in my front yard. I'm sure glad she didn't have a passenger with her. Here's another view. You can see where the back door panel was ripped off........

And now for the scarecrow. We made these adorable cards at our last stamp club meeting.

Card no. 4 and My Favorite

Our company is still here, I'm feeling a little better but Richard still doesn't sound very good. When he gets this stuff it seems to just hang on forever. Anyway, here is the fourth and final card we made using the set Inspired by Nature. This one is my favorite because of it's simplicity. We inked the stamp with markers and then spritzed it with water giving it a watercolor look. I love the way this card turned out and the colors we used on it...Thanks for looking!

Embossed Nature

This is the third card we did with Inspired by Nature. We stamped the main image with white craft ink and then embossed it with white embossing powder. The designer paper is Urban Garden. I never thought of stamping right on the designer paper but I really like the way it looks. This is something I will do again.......... We still have our company, it's been a looong 3 weeks. If that's not enough my husband and I are both sick with colds and sinus/allergy stuff. So if I'm MIA it will be because I'm not feeling up to posting. Thanks for looking........Rita

Yeah, it's Friday!!!! This has been a very stressful week with the kids and with my husband gone I haven't had any help. He's coming home Sunday so next week should be a little better. Dare I admit that I'm getting too old for this? Noooo, never!
Anyway, here's the second card we made at last weeks workshop. This one was really quick and easy. The center square is Pretty in Pink and the image was stamped over it with Basic Grey. Don't you just love these colors together?

Baby Wipes

Okay, so I came home from scrapbooking at the retreat and went to a stamp workshop. I know, I know that's a bit much for one weekend, but what can I say? Anyway we made four cards using the same stamp set. One of my favorite sets, Inspired by Nature and I actually have this one. We did the background using re-inkers and a baby wipe. The designer paper is Haiku and the cardstock is Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. This set is so versatile, it can be used for just about any occasion..... Thanks for looking!

Sisters Page

I was able to get 20 pages done at the retreat this weekend and this is one of my favorites. My beautiful Granddaughters. I still have a few things to add to the other pages before I post them here for all to see. I didn't take my Cricut with me so I had to wait until I got home to do my titles. I did this one using the Jasmine cartridge and decided to use the negative instead of the actual letters. Click on the photo for a larger view............ Here's my car all packed up and ready to go. This is the second card I made from the kit. I think this one would be perfect for the men on your list. The ink used was Basic Grey. I really like this one. In case you were wondering why my posts have been a little short it's because my husbands brother from California is staying with us for 3 weeks. I had to set up a bed in my craft room and things in there right now are limited plus I have a lot of it packed away for my scrapbooking retreat this weekend. I might have a little more time next week since I'll be home alone, they're going to New York to visit the other brother and their sister. Woo hoo!!!!

Good evening everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend. I had a very, very busy one. Saturday morning I went to my stamp club, came home and grabbed a bite and checked my email. Then it was off to Columbus (2 hr. drive) to pick up my husbands brother who's staying for 3 weeks. Sunday it was off to Church, grocery shopping, 6th. grade football game to watch our granddaughter cheer and then to our daughter's house for Chili, mmmm, was it good. All in all I would say it was a full weekend. Our stamp club was a Halloween theme and this is one of the cards we made. Isn't it cute? The inside says, Happy Halloween from your Mummy.

Fall is in the Air

It's starting to feel more like Fall every day. This is my favorite time of the year. The air is cool and crisp, the leaves are changing colors and falling to the ground. If you ask my husband he would say he hates Fall. We have a LOT of trees and taking care of the leaves is his job. Anyway, here's another card we made at Stamp Club. The pumpkins were made using the round and oval punches. Kind of makes you crave Pumpkin Pie doesn't it? Mmmmm, bring on the whipped cream!!

I know it's been a long time since I posted anything and my Aunt Mary and cousin Bob were worried that I might be sick or worse yet that my computer was broken. We went to the Heritage Festival Sunday afternoon and look who we saw there. Talk about a blast from the past. I know The Lone Ranger and Tonto but I don't know who the other guy is....... Hey! Is that the Duke ? Why yes I think it is, standing next to Hoppalong Cassidy (is that spelled right?) and I don't know who the other 2 were supposed to be. We had a great time baking in the sun.....
I saw this done somewhere on SCS and thought it was just too cute. The stamped image is from the Kids at Play set from SU and the sentiment was computer generated. The colors I used were Real Red, Brilliant Blue and Whisper White. I made this for my nephew who is turning 30 this week......Thanks for looking..Rita

I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Labor Day weekend. The weather here has just been awesome. We could use some rain though.......I made this adorable card at a stamp class I went to Saturday morning. We used the new Bella Rose DSP and the new "in" colors. The lamb was made using the scallop circle, word window, lg. oval, small circle and trio flower punches. Isn't she just tooooo cute with her wiggle eyes and pink bow?

Good evening stampers and friends. I didn't get any stamping done today so I thought I would tell you about what I did yesterday. I belong to this Senior Citizens group through my bank and we take occasional day trips. When I first saw this particular trip I knew I had to go. This exhibit is going on now at the Cincinnati Museum and it was announced yesterday that they will be extending it one more week. Before we walked through the exhibit we got to got to see the OMNIMAX film, The Human Body. This incorporates groundbreaking computer graphics with stunning real-life images to tell the story of a day in the life of the human body. After an hour lunch break we then entered the exhibit and came face-to-face with full human bodies and partial body specimens. These meticulously dissected bodies are preserved through an innovative process and respectfully presented, giving visitors the opportunity to view the beauty and complexity of their own organs and systems. In addition to providing an up-close look inside our skeletal, muscular, respiratory and circulatory systems, the exhibition encourages healthy lifestyle choices. I took a friend with me and we had an awesome time. If this exhibit comes to a city near you, go, you won't regret it.

This is a layout I did the other day of one of the little girls I take care of. These are her one year photos and believe me what you see is what you get. She is so much fun to have around. I used my new Cricut Storybook cartridge to cut out the letters, butterfly and crown. Blintz Base

They have this challenge every week at Splitcoast Stampers called Try a New Technique. Today I was browsing and came across this interesting technique called Blintz Base. It's a form of Origami and it looks best when done with double sided designer paper. Anyway, I decided to give it a try. I didn't notice until I uploaded the photo that the upper right corner isn't folded right, but I won't tell you because you probably didn't notice......Card Stock-Taken with Teal and So Saffron. Designer Paper-Petals and Paisleys. Stamp set used-Polka Dots and Petals.....I used a Taken with Teal marker to color the edges of the white Grosgrain Ribbon. The So Saffron CS was embossed using the Cuttlebug Paisley embossing folder and I added dimensionals to the center image.....Thanks for looking..Have a Blessed evening..Rita

Hardware that is. I've had this sitting on my shelf for such a long time, why don't I ever think to use it? The kit consists of several brads, frames, clips and ribbon slides to embellish your cards or scrapbook pages.
When our daughter got a promotion at work I decided it was time to pull out the hardware. This is the card I made for her to let her know how proud her father and I are of her.

Sorry for the bad photo, you can see it better if you click on it to enlarge. I decided to drag out the sponges today and do a little sponging. I never seem to think about using my sponges, I've had them for months and they still look like new. Anyway, The stamp set I used is Deco Designs from TAC and the card stock is from SU. I used Cameo Coral, Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. I cut out the flowers and adhered them with dimensionals.....Thanks for looking.........Rita

Well, my company has come and gone and I'm worn out. I've been too busy to stamp so I still don't have anything to share with you. Soooo, I've decided to give you a blast from the past. If you're under 50 you probably won't remember this but I remember like it was yesterday. I found this book in a drawer the other day and boy did it bring back memories. I can even remember reading it in school. This is the 1946-47 Edition and when I was in the first grade I played Sally when we reenacted the stories. Is this making you feel really old about now??? How many of you read this book when you were in the first grade? I'm going to try to find some time tomorrow to do some stamping, but if it doesn't happen I'll see if I can find something really old to share with you.......Thanks for looking....Rita

We're having company come from out of state tomorrow and I've just been too busy getting my house in order. Another neglected embellishment is the lonely Brad. They come in lots of colors and are easy to apply, so why don't I get them out and use them more often???? This is the card I made for my Uncle and as you can see I actually put some Brads on it. See how they added that little extra umph to an otherwise boring card? I have a LOT of punches and several of them are being neglected. This is one of them, the Photo Corner Punch. I love this punch so why don't I use it more often? Anyway, this card was done using a photo taken of the sky and stamped on with Staz-On ink. The stamp set used was Lovely as A Tree and I don't remember which set the sentiment came from. Christmas in July

Today I dug out my Daubers and Stampin' Pastels (chalk). I haven't used these in quite a while. I think I must be stuck on stencils since I used another one for this card. I stenciled the Nativity Scene on Whisper White card stock with Night of Navy chalk. I then adhered that to a strip of Night of Navy card stock and then added that to the Confetti White card front. I put Stickles Glitter Glue on the star to add a little bling. The sentiment is from SU Star Studded Season and the stencil is from Dreamweaver Stencils. Butterfly Spritzer

I don't know about you but I have tools and accessories I forget about and never use. So I decided today I would start using something different every day and post the project or card that I made. Today I wanted to try out my new Color Spritzer Tool and this is what I came up with. I used Ballet Blue, So Saffron and Basic Gray markers to fill in the Butterfly Stencil (not SU). I then cut a circle in the So Saffron card stock and adhered the butterfly behind it. I used Treading Water border punch from Fiskars on Whisper White and adhered the Saffron to that. Then I adhered that piece to the Ballet Blue card front. I stamped a sentiment from Tiny Talk to the lower right corner. You'll have to click on the image to get a better look at the card. Well, my computer had some viruses that needed attention so it was in the shop longer than expected. It's all fixed now and I'm coming out of my withdrawal. So, what did I do while I had all this time on my hands? I made this Stationery Box. I got this from Barb Mulikin at www.barbstamps.com
This is the closed box........scroll down. This is the box opened. It even has a pen and note pad.

Anyway, I'm taking my computer in for it's yearly check-up tomorrow and I don't know if they'll have to keep it or if they can do whatever it is they do while I wait. Little Ladybug

I love this set from SU called Garden Whimsy. I don't know why I don't get it out and use it more often. This is what I made for my sister- in-law for her Birthday. I found this really cute sentiment stamp for the inside that works perfectly with this ladybug stamp. Here's what it says; Little bitty lady bug dressed in black and red, delivering a message of words that must be said. Hope your Birthday's happy filled with sweet delight, may your day be special, morning, noon and night. Happy Birthday!

I got the layout and color scheme for this card from Aly Schilling. I love the way it turned out. The stamped image is from TAC's Frazzled set. All other supplies are SU. Fresh Cuts Framed

I found this frame at Menard's today and thought it would be perfect for the Fresh Cuts. The ink used was Mellow Moss and Perfect Plum. I used the 5 petal punch and Pretty in Pink card stock for the large flower and the Bo Ho punch for the smaller Perfect Plum flower. The piece was then mounted on Perfect Plum card stock. So now I'm wondering if this would make a nice gift. What do you think?

Nap Time

It's nap time here and all is quiet. I thought this would be a good time to write my post for today. I've seen a lot of these Card Organizers on other blogs and over at SCS and thought I needed to make one for myself. I got real lucky when I found this note book just waiting to be used. It just happened to be the right size. I cut the letters out using the Doodle Type cartridge and my Cricut die cut machine. The flowers were punched with SU Boho Blossoms and the 5 Petal punch.

Here is a look at the inside. I used Jersey Shore designer paper.......

Good evening all! Today while blog hopping I ran across this cute little card holder on Dannie's Designs. It was really easy to make and I wanted to try out my new stamp set. I used Perfect Plum, Pale Plum and Whisper White card stock. The ink colors are Mellow Moss and Perfect Plum. Here is the front view........ And this is the inside. I haven't made the cards to go in it yet so I just stuck in some I had laying around to give you an idea how it looks. Sorry I've been MIA for so long but we've been having a LOT of storms here the past couple of weeks. I stay off the computer when it storms. I just have one child here this week so maybe I can get my posts in early. We're expecting storms again this afternoon.
Yesterday I decided to make a frame I saw on Splitcoast some time ago. I thought it was so beautiful I just had to make one myself. The original was done by jsthek6 (SCS name) and you can see hers below mine. I think mine would have looked better if I had printed the saying on the computer. I Was Lion

I know I said Friday was the last Punch Card, but I needed to make something for my Grand Nephew's first birthday. I saw this somewhere on Splitcoast and decided to give it a try. It's really cute in real life. I added dimensionals to the head, cheeks and paws to make it stand out. The nose is a mini brad. Colors are More Mustard, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. More Fun With Punches

At the last stamp class I went to we made cards using punches. This is one of the ones we made. I think this one is really cute. We used the Scalloped Circle Punch to create the "bites" and the Word Window Punch for the sticks. The Ice Cream Bars were done with the Key Tag Punch. Doesn't this make you want to run out and get an Ice Cream Bar right now????

Punchy Monkey

I had so much fun making this card today. I made it for one of the little girls I take care of who is turning one next month. The monkey was done using assorted circles punched out of Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock. The mouth was punched with the large oval and cut down. I used Pink Passion, Basic Black and Whisper White for the card and layers. I stamped the Happy Birthday using Fundamental Phrases and cut out the 1st with a Sizzix Sizzlets Alphabet die. I'm not 100% sure I like the way this turned out and may re-do it, what do you think?

Birthday Wolf

My granddaughter loves wolves, so every year I try to come up with an idea for a birthday card using wolves. I try to keep it as feminine as possible. I saw this layout somewhere on Splitcoast and thought I would try it with the wolf stamp from Wildlife Reserve. I used her favorite colors, black and purple. The center stamp is from So Many Scallops. I really like the way it turned out. I still can't believe she's 16!

Bleaching

I went to a stamp class Saturday and this is one of the cards we made. All the cards were done using punches. On this one we punched the window and adhered it over the image. The image was done using the Bleaching technique. This is the first time I've ever done this technique. I love the way it turned out and will be doing it again. I made this card at the last workshop I went to. We used Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Real Red and Tempting Turquoise card stock. Embrace Life stamp set for the main image and side sentiment. The main sentiment is from Refuge and Strength. All supplies are from SU.

This is one of the cards I made using my Card Kit of the Month from Aly Schilling. I don't have the stamp set she used so on this one I stamped the star from Classic Backgrounds on Barely Banana card stock and cut it out. I then mounted it on the Very Vanilla with dimensionals. I used the small stars from the same set to stamp the background on the Sage Shadow. Other colors used were Chocolate Chip and River Rock. Thanks Aly for the design.......Thanks for looking..Rita

Dahlia Fold

This is one of the cards I made at last weeks work shop. We did the Dahlia Fold and I chose to do the full circle. I punched out the circles with the Scalloped Circle Punch and Afternoon Tea DSP. I glued a brown button in the middle to make it look more like a flower. This was pretty time consuming but the end result was worth it......Thanks for looking and have a Blessed weekend.

I got the layout idea for these cards from someone at SCS, I wish I could remember who it was. I used Swiss Dots Embossing Folder on the top half and DSP on the bottom half. The flowers have Stickles Glitter Glue in the center and I punched the center strip using Fiskars Border Punch, Eyelet. This is the same card I made for my Pastor and his wife for their Anniversary. The only difference is the other card says Happy Anniversary. I used the stamp set One of A Kind and matching punch, Berry Bliss DSP and a Ribbon Slide from the new Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware. The card stock is Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa and Whisper White. All these supplies are from Stampin' Up. The top of the card was embossed using the Cuddlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. Good Monday evening everyone. I hope you all had a super weekend. The weather here was a little chilly but at least it didn't rain. I went to a Stamping Class Saturday morning and a workshop Sunday afternoon so I have a lot to share with you this week. A new color combo, yea! Blue Bayou, Old Olive, Cameo Coral and Confetti White. The stamp set used is One of A Kind from Stampin' Up. I added Stickles Glitter Glue to the main image to give it a little sparkle.

I'm Stuck in A Color Rut

It looks like these are the only color card stock I have, but never fear tomorrow I'll post another color scheme.....I promise! This time I used So Many Scallops stamp set from the SAB Mini catalog.
By the way, did you hear we had an earth quake here in Ohio? They said it was a 4.2 and happened around midnight Sunday night. I was sound asleep and didn't feel a thing. Things are getting really strange around here.......Thanks for stopping by..Rita
