Father's Day

I was just fooling around the other day & this is what I came up with for my husband for Father's Day. I don't know why it scanned darker through the middle, it's actually all one color. I just love the wiggle eyes. Thanks for looking. Have a safe and Blessed holiday weekend........Rita

Hello
The red background layer was done by brayering Rose Red on glossy card stock, then adding Versa Mark ink directly to that. Add Iridescent Ice Embossing powder & heat set. It really sparkles. The other colors are Chocolate Chip & Mellow Moss. Thanks for looking.......Rita

Husband's B'day card

My husband loves his truck so I decided to make this card for his Birthday. The colors are actually lighter than the scan shows. I'll find something in my computer program to print for the inside of the card. That's me driving the truck. Ha, ha! Thanks for looking........Rita

Anniversary

This is a technique called reverse embossing. You emboss with clear embossing powder and then sponge the color on top of that. I used a lace background, tore the top layer and inked the edges. Thanks for looking. All comments are welcone.....Rita

My colors are not scanning very well. This is not Pink & Red, it's shades of Pink. It's a Shaker Card & I tied a butterfly charm to the ribbon for a little extra color. Thanks for looking. All comments are welcome....Rita

Chicken and Stars

Something must be wrong with my scanner, these colors aren't really this dark.
This is a Get Well card I did to go in a pack of cards for my cousin. It's a shaker card & I put pasta stars in it for Chicken and Stars Soup.
Thanks for looking & have a Blessed weekend........Rita

Thank You

Not sure I like how this one turned out. I added the twill tape with staple bars after stamping thank you on it. The coloring was done with chalks & a blender pen. I don't know, maybe it would look better without the twill tape. Thanks for looking....Rita

Celebrate
Bet you can't guess how I did the background on this one. I did this at a workshop & since I don't have this stamp set I can't duplicate it. However, this was a lot of fun & I can do the background again. Give up on how I did it? Okay, I put rubber bands around a brayer, rolled it in the ink pad & then onto the card stock. Instant background! Thanks for looking & feel free to leave comments....Rita

I really like how this card turned out. I did a lace background & then layered the butterfly on top. After I finished I decided to outline the butterfly with glitter. I love the way it turned out. This has to be one of my favorites. Thanks for looking. All comments are welcome..........Rita

Brayer Technique

I made this card at my monthly workshop. We did three different brayer techniques & this was one of them. The trees are embossed. The little black dots are not supposed to be there. This is what happens when I don't use my Embossing Buddy.
Thanks for looking.........Rita

Thank You

Did this one yesterday. I didn't have the color ribbon I wanted so settled for this. It has a little red running thru it but I don't think you can see it from the scan, also the saying shows up better than the scan shows. It says, Just a little note to let you know how much your kindness means to me.

Shaker Card

These are always fun to make. I used a punch to make the balloons that are on the inside of the shaker. I really think this would have looked better if I had colored the Hedgehog.

Horses

I was playing around yesterday & came up with this card. When I finished it I thought it needed something else so I added the bar staples. Now I'm not sure if maybe that was a bit too much. You decide. Thanks for looking...Rita

Love

The first white layer was cut with decoritive scissors. The second one I used a corner punch and the hearts were cut using my die cut machine.
This card can be used for Valentine's Day or an Anniversary depending on what you put on the inside.

Spinner Card

This was done by putting 2 pennies together with foam pop dots & then attaching the flower to it & then inserting it into the slot. When the card is tilted the flower spins.

Pocket Trading Card

I had to make trading cards for a swap that had a boy theme. I decided to do something different & made it a mini pocket card. It's hard to see from the scan but I dry embossed bugs & frogs on the turquoise & then added a frog eyelet. The ribbon matches better than the scan shows. I really had fun doing this one. Thanks for looking....Rita

One More Birthday

I don't know where I got the idea for this card but I thought it was a perfect layout for this stamp set. The saying in the middle says, birthdays are good for you, the more you have, the longer you live! The verticle greeting comes from another set & was just what I needed for the side. Thanks for looking & have a Blessed weekend, Rita

Birthday Pocket

I joined a swap for Pocket Cards and this is what I made for that swap. The saying goes on a tag that is inserted into the pocket. I cut the oval on my Sizzix Die Cut Machine and it's attached with gold brads. These fit in a regular card envelope.
Thanks for looking, Rita

It's hard to tell from the scan, but the background on this one says Get Well in several different ways.
I made both of these cards for a set I'm working on. I made 12 total & will be posting them all. Thanks for looking & have a Blessed Easter weekend.....Rita

Thinking of You
This card turned out a lot better than I expected. The center strip was run through a crimper. I actually made this one at home.
This one I did at my monthly workshop. I stamped the flowers & then cut them out & attached them to the card. I'm still not sure if I like that background paper. I like the colors, but the bottom looks like it was dropped in a mud puddle. Thanks for looking......Rita

Butterflies & Flowers
I didn't post anything yesterday because we were having bad weather here. I was having trouble with my IP Thursday & didn't realize I had posted twice, so I guess that makes up for yesterday. Today's cards were done at my monthly workshop. The flower technique is done useing several ink colors & alcohol on a piece of gause on glossy card stock.
The Butterfly Card is just simple stamping. The flowers are on white card stock attached with a corner punch on the purple & then stuck to the card. The middle butterfly was stamped on white, colored & then cut out & attached to the card.....Thanks for looking & have a Blessed weekend, Rita

I love making these little cards. These are some I made for swaps I was in. The theme is always different, sometimes just a color combination. I have a book full of the ones I've recieved. It's kind of like a Baseball Card collection. Thanks for looking...Rita

More Workshop Cards

Here are 2 more cards I did at a workshop. The Butterfly was done useing the Baby Wipe technique. You put drops of several colors of ink on a baby wipe and then use that as your ink pad for your stamp. The other card is just simple stamping & layering. Thanks for looking, Rita

I had so much fun with the marble technique I just had to do it again. I thought it might look good for a background with the Zebra. I was pleased with the way it turned out. I made the Thank You Friend card at one of my first workshops. The flowers are embossed & the writing lost something in the scan, it's darker in person. Thanks for looking......Rita
