I Won and My Altered Box
Feast your eyes on this! I won this candy on Corie's Blog , http://creationsbycorie.blogspot.com/
Aren't those just the cutest stamps? I can't wait to try them out. And look at the beautiful card she made. Thanks Corie!
This is what I did with my empty Punch Box. I cut the tags and letters out with my Cuttlebug Alphabet dies and the Paisley was paunched with the CM Paisley Punch. I adhered the card stock to the underside of the lid with red sticky tape. Clicking on the photos will enlarge them. Thanks for looking and have a fabulous weekend, I know I will.......Rita

It's In The Bag
Last night you saw the card, tonight you're seeing the gift bag. I made this Bag Topper to match the card. It's hard to see but I wrote Hello Kitty across the top with white glitter. You'll have to wait to see what's inside the bag, her birthday isn't until this Thursday.....thanks for looking..Rita

Hello Kitty
This is the card I made for my granddaughter who's turning 11 this week. I used two different sheets of Hello Kitty scrapbook paper for the card and envelope liner. The top of the card is Almost Amethyst card stock that I stamped with the flower stamp from Three For You Punch Box set. I put a dot of Only Orange Classic Ink in the center of each one to match the envelope liner. Brianna is such a Hello Kitty fan, I'm sure she's going to love this card as much as I loved making it.........Thanks for looking...Rita

All other card stock and bags are SU. I didn't have any Halloween M&M's so I just used what I had. Click on the picture to make it bigger. Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.....Rita

Flower Pot Greeting
This is one of the cards we made at my workshop Saturday. The top was supposed to have been run throught the crimper but I had to be different.
I left mine blank and added the flower. I stamped the Sunflower and leaves on a separate piece of paper and then cut them out and glued them to the top. I left off the sentiment because I'm not sure what occasion I will use it for....................
This is the inside of the card. It's an accordion pop up card, Cool, huh? Thanks for looking and have a great evening.............Rita

Polished Stone
Before I show you today's card I would like to take this time to answer some questions I've been asked concerning my lost pictures. Did I forget to remove the lens cap? My camera doesn't have a lens cap. Did I put the film in right? My camera has a little door that you open and drop the film in, there's only one way that it will fit. It takes Advantix film so you can take three different sizes, including panoramic on one roll. It's not a fancy camera, although it was expensive for me at the time. My next step is to buy a really nice digital camera and quit wasting money on film and developing. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them...Thanks for your interest..........
Now, for today's card. I found a piece of Polished Stone I did a while back and decided to build around that. I bought this House Mouse stamp quite sometime ago and wanted to use it so this is what I ended up with. Not sure I like it but it's all I had to post today.....I'm having a workshop tomorrow so I should have something for you on Monday....Thanks for looking and have a GREAT weekend!

Big Stinkin' Deal Part Two
OK, this is the second card I made for my niece. I think this is the one I'm actually going to send. I used Confetti White card stock for the base card and Pixie Pink for the matting with Basic Black ink all from Stampin' Up! The paper strip on the side is from the DCWV Glitter Stack. I don't know if you can see but the circles have glitter on them. Inside the card says, Birthdays Are A Big Stinkin' Deal. I cut part of the front off so you can see Big Stinkin' Deal from the outside. Thanks for looking..............Rita

Big Stinkin' Deal
I've been working on a card for my niece who collects skunks. I did this one today but I'm not 100 percent satisfied with it. I used Pixie Pink for the base and Pretty in Pink for the scalloped circle. The top part of the sentiment was stamped with Karen Foster Snap Stamps. I added dimensionals to the circle to give it a little pop. It's back to the drawing board with this one, I have until this weekend to come up with something I feel good about.....Thanks for looking..Rita

I'm Very Upset!
Picture this, you go on vacation and take a lot of pictures so you can scrapbook your trip when you return home. You've told all your friends and family about all the places you went and things you saw. So, now it's your word against theirs that you ever went to those places or saw any of those things. WHY???? Because when I went to the Drug Store yesterday to get my lovely vacation pictures all I got was NOTHING!!! It seems that the whole roll was blank. How could that happen? It was a new roll of film ($8.00) and the camera isn't that old. I am soooooo upset, all I have from our vacation are the few pictures I took with the Digital. NO FRANKIE!!!!! Oh well, life goes on I guess...........................
Here's a card I made last week using the Priceless stamp set. Ink is Wild Wasabi and Card Stock is Natural Ivory and So Saffron. This is a Pocket Card with the pocket on the inside. .....
This is a view of the inside.....Thanks for looking....Rita

I couldn't leave without getting this picture of all the losers, I mean gamblers.......
This is my husband and me standing next to a glass sculpture inside the casino.......
I made this card today from the SITM kit. I changed it a little and lined the envelope. This card features the Blue Bayou and Purely Pomegranate in colors. The stamp sets are Priceless and Warm Words. Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend.........Rita

Over the Rainbow
As we were driving from Rochester to Syracuse last week it started to rain. It didn't last very long and when the sun came out there was this beautiful rainbow. If you look real close you can see there are two. The second one doesn't show up very well, but it's there........
This was taken on our boat trip. I wanted to get the houses up on the hill. If you click on the picture you might be able to see them...........
Today's card is from the Stamps in the Mail program I'm in. The stamp sets used were Priceless & Short and Sweet. I stamped a piece of copy paper to line the envelope with. Click on the picture for a closer look..............Thanks for looking....Rita

Christmas Card Challenge-Sept.
This is one of the cards I made for the Christmas Card Challenge I'm in at SCS. I made 8 of this one design. I sort of cased it from the catalog but added my own touch. I cut out the tree and attached it with pop dots to give it some dimension. The blue strip was embossed with the snowflake embossing folder. The colors I used were Real Red, Glorious Green, Brocade Blue and Confetti White.......Thanks for looking..Rita

I'm Baaaack!
Wow! What a great time we had on vacation. We went to the New York State Fair and I got to see Frankie Avalon in person. He gave a great performance and doesn't look a day older, still a "hottie" at 68. We went to Old Forge and took a scenic boat trip and then to the Cornerstone Casino for dinner, no we didn't do any gambling. My sister in-law and I went to lunch and shopping, they have so many places to shop there I just about go crazy. Thursday we all went to the Outlet Mall and met up with my husband's brother. After a day of more shopping we followed them home to Rochester and spent the rest of the time with them. Friday afternoon we were on our way to do some sight seeing when I became sick and had to go back to the house. I spent the rest of the day and all day Saturday in bed. We started for home Sunday morning and I was still sick, the last thing I wanted to do was get up and get dressed for an all day car ride. I started to feel better by about noon and was able to eat for the first time since Friday. This was not the way I had planned on ending my vacation. My other sister in-law was going to take me shopping at A.C. Moore, Michael's and Jo Ann Etc. on Saturday, as bad as I wanted to go I just couldn't get myself out of bed. What a bummer! I'll post pictures as soon as I get them developed........

What's For Dinner?
Well I didn't have anything to share with you today, but I didn't want you to think I'm neglecting you either. So I decided to show you what we had for dinner tonight. Is that exciting or what? I cook everything on the grill. My motto is, if you can cook it in the oven or on the stove then you can cook it on the grill. I've even baked biscuits on the grill. So, tonight we had what I call Mexican fish, it's tortilla crusted Tilapia, and grilled Brussels Sprouts. Yum! Was it ever good! I opened a carton of cottage cheese to go with it since we don't eat a lot of potatoes. For dessert we had sugar free strawberry jello with fat free whipped topping, can you see a pattern going on here? When you get to a certain age you have to start cutting out all the good stuff like sugar, fat and starches.
Yesterday I went to my doctor for a problem I've been having and this is what he said I have, Interstitial Cystitis. It seems this condition cannot be cured but can be treated. I have to go to a Urologist for a test that I'm not looking forward to. If you check this out on-line you'll see why. That's it for today. Thanks for stopping in...........Rita

Thanks for looking~~~~Rita

Birthday in Blue
My nephew will be celebrating his 30Th birthday in a couple of weeks and this is the card I made him. What do you think? Is he too old for this? I used Brocade Blue, Night of Navy and Shimmery White card stock and Wild About You stamp set from Stampin' Up! The candle is from Mini Mates and the background is from Eclectic Backgrounds also from SU. I used the sentiment stamp from Gina K's Make A Wish. I ran the center strip through the crimper and stapled it at both sides then glued a wiggle eye to the elephant. Inside the card was stamped with a sentiment from Inkadinkadoo, it says; May all your wildest dreams come true! Thanks for looking. Have a wonderful weekend!

Make A Wish
I needed a Birthday card for a friend and decided to use my new Make A Wish set from Gina K Originals. I really like this set and just for buying it Gina K donated $7.00 to the Make A Wish Foundation. How cool is that? For every set sold $7.00 is donated to that charity. Other supplies I used were the Photo Corner Punch, Word Window Punch, Rose Red and Vanilla card stock & Basic Black ink all from Stampin' Up! I colored in the cake with Souffle Pens and the Designer Paper is from an unknown source. Thanks for looking.........Rita

Went to the Fair
I didn't have time to stamp today because we went to the county fair. My husband likes to walk through all the buildings and barns so I was worn out when we got home. Today was Senior Citizens day so we got in free and also had a free lunch. Madison, the 8 month old I watch went with us, she was super good. Since I don't have anything to share with you today I decided to look for the card I got my inspiration from yesterday. It took some time but I found it and here it is. As you can see she used a different color. The name she uses on SCS is rdm. Thanks rdm for the inspiration.......Thanks for looking....Rita

Priceless
I saw a thank you card on Splitcoast the other day that I really liked and decided to do my version of it. I don't know what stamp set she used but I chose Priceless. I also thought it would make a beautiful Christmas Card. So, what do you think? I used Real Red and Confetti White. Thanks for looking.

Natural Beauty
What a great weekend I had. Saturday we took a day trip up north to visit some friends that moved a few months ago. I watched their kids for three years and really hated to see them go. It was nice seeing them again, kids grow so fast in that short length of time. Sunday was church and then I spent the afternoon cleaning the house. We went out for dinner and stopped to see our daughter and her family before coming home. ......
Did you notice my new blog award on the right? My BFF Adrian sent that to me and now I have to think of three other bloggers to send it to. This may take some time since most of the ones I know already have theirs. Anyway, Jen over at Pieces of Me designed this award for us to send to those we felt deserved it, which is every stamping blogger I know. Stampers are just about the best people you would want to know. I feel really honored to have been chosen. Thanks Adrian!
OK, now for today's card I chose Natural Beauty which I haven't used in a long time. I stamped the flowers on Lavender Lace card stock and then cut them out. I then put yellow brads through the centers and attached them with glue dots. The leaves were stamped on the So Saffron card top. I ran the bottom (Lavender Lace) through my Big Shot using the flower embossing folder. The photo corners were cut with the photo corner punch. All supplies except the embossing folder, brads and ribbon are from Stampin' Up! I added the photo corners because it looked like it needed something and I wasn't sure what. Now I'm not sure if that was the right thing to add. What do you think?
Thanks for looking...............Rita

Altering and Stamping
I thought I wasn't going to have anything to share with you today and then I remembered this tin I altered the other day. I used Mod Podge to apply and seal the paper. The ribbon around the edge was adhered using red line tape and the Primas with brads in the center were glued on. I'm thinking it needs something else, but I just don't know what. I would appreciate any ideas.............
This is a 3x3 note card I did last night using the Three For You Punch Box Set. Sorry for the blurry picture. Thanks for looking and have a great weekend........Rita

It's Finally Done!
I did a lot of sewing over the weekend. Yesterday I finally finished my Granddaughter's dress and then made my bath robe. I got it all done except for the snaps down the front. I'll post a picture when it's completed. Here's my Granddaughter Kristen posing in her new dress.
And here she is again. By the way, that snake you see on the floor isn't real, it's stuffed.
Today's card is one I made with my Stamps in The Mail program from Kelly Battles. This round we're using the stamp set Priceless from Stampin' Up! I really like this card and never would have thought of using this set and the Tag Punch in this way. Inside it says, "Thanks A Latte". Colors used were Basic Black, Vanilla and Purely Pomegranate.......Thanks for looking..Rita

It's Been A Busy Day
I've been really busy today. I had 3 little ones this morning and I spent most of the afternoon hemming the dress and I still have to do the bottom. I guess I'll finish it tomorrow. Tonight I subbed at my daughter's Bunco game and I didn't get home until almost 10pm so I was late doing my breathing treatment, I usually do it at 7:30. Needless to say I didn't get any stamping time today. The card I'm sharing with you is one I did yesterday for the Learn A New Technique Challenge at SCS. I've never done one of these so it's not really all that good. It was fun and I'll probably do another one some time. The white card stock has dimensionals underneath to give it some dimension. The stamp set I used is Stinkin' Cute from Stampin' Up!
Thanks for looking..........Rita

Fresh From the Garden
What could be better than fresh vegetables from your own garden? That's what we had for dinner tonight, green beans and zucchini, yum. I fixed some chicken breasts, cooked the green beans and made what I call zucchini casserole. I peeled, seeded and shredded it, added egg and cooked it in a frying pan until browned. Then top with shredded cheese, let it melt and serve, double yum....
Today I'm sharing the Christmas Card I made for the August Christmas Card Challenge at SCS. This one was done with Holiday Minis and I kept it fairly simple. The black around the edges is not part of the card........Thanks for stopping and have a great evening......Rita
