Fact # 3

Sorry I don't have anything to share with you today. I'm still busy getting ready for the scrapbook retreat we're going to this weekend. Now it looks like the weather is going to dictate whether or not we even get to go. What a bummer!!!!! I'll say an extra prayer tonight for good weather.

Here's Fact # 3;
I graduated high school in May, 1987, the same year as my daughter. OK, so it was the GED but I still got my diploma, even if it was 24 years late.......

Binder Clip Memo Holder

I didn't have anything to share with you today so I dug out this binder clip I embellished a couple of weeks ago. I think these make great memo holders. I've been so busy getting packed for our retreat this weekend that there has just been no time to stamp. I'll dig around and see if I can find something for tomorrow........ Fact #2-- Although my sister was born 11 months before me, our Mother dressed and treated us like twins. She with her dark hair and brown eyes and me with my light brown hair and blue eyes. Nope, we certainly weren't identical!

Little Known Facts

I was reading one of my favorite blogs, Angelosity, http://angelosity.blogspot.com/ and she put out a challenge that I thought I would take. List 100 little known facts about yourself and then do a scrapbook page with those facts. Now I don't know about the scrapbook page, seems like a lot of work, but I'll surely try. So from now on I will let you all in on a little known fact about myself until I get to 100. It might be hard coming up with that many but you never know, I might just surprise myself. Thanks Angel for the challenge.....
Fact #1....When I was born I was the second girl, so when the doctor told my mother what she had he simply said, " It's a girl, just a repeat". From that day on my nick name was "Pete". Cute, huh?
Come back tomorrow for another gem. Thanks for stopping by..Rita

Birthday CARd

My husband loves PT Cruisers. He wanted one for years and finally got one of his very own last Summer. Soooooo when I saw this rubber stamp I just had to have it. I got it at tina@incrediblestamps.com. This is the card I made for his Birthday, it's not until June but I wanted to use the stamp before it got lost in with all the other loose stamps. I used Chocolate Chip and So Saffron card stock and Chocolate Chip ink. The background on the smaller piece is Linen, all from Stampin' Up! I hope he likes it..........Thanks for looking!

I used my Pretty in Pink Stampin' Write Marker to color in the flower......Hope you're all enjoying your week.. Thanks for looking!

Seasons Frame

Just when you thought I wasn't coming back, here I am......I'm going out of town the end of this month to a scrapbook retreat and I've been busy getting ready. It takes me a looooong time to decide what I'm going to take. I'm really hoping to get caught up on all my pages, I'm so far behind.

Also, I've been having a LOT of back pain lately and haven't been in the mood to do any stamping. I'm hoping to get some inspiration soon. I did take some time over the VERY COLD weekend to make this Seasons Frame. This is the first one I've attempted to make and I have to admit I'm very pleased with it. All supplies used are from Stampin' Up.....Thanks for looking!

Then and Now Scrapbook Page

I've been wanting to sit down and do some scrapbooking for quite some time now. Today I finally took some time to do exactly that. The page I did is of my Aunt and Uncle who will be married 58 years this year. Way to go Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob, I love you both very much.
I chose to use a sheet from the Linen Prints Designer Paper Series because it looked like Palm Trees and I thought that was the background in the older photo, which by the way was taken when they were dating.

Garden Silhouettes

I had some extra time today so guess what I did with it? That's right, I stamped! I've wanted to use this set since the day I got it and today I finally did. The set is Garden Silhouettes (retired) from the Winter Catalogue. I get a monthly card kit in the mail from Aly Schilling so that's where the color scheme and layout came from. I added the embossing and used a different stamp set. All supplies (except the embossing) are from Stampin' Up! Card Stock- Cameo Coral, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. The Prints Designer Paper is Blue Bayou. ...... Thanks for looking..

A Card to Share and BLOG CANDY!

I made this card in my spare time today. It was really quick and easy. All supplies are Stampin' Up! The card is Certainly Celery with a strip of Cameo Coral down the left side. The top right corner is folded down to show Blue Bayou Print Designer Series Paper that was attached to the inside. I punched two holes to thread the Certainly Celery ribbon through and tied it in a knot. I stamped the main image on Whisper White with Cameo Coral ink and matted it onto Apricot Appeal card stock. I then attached it to the card with dimensionals to give it a little lift. The stamp sets I used were Winds of Grace and Warmest Regards.

And now for the Blog Candy I promised. My counter has gone past the 10,000 mark and to show my appreciation to all those who visit my little world I'm giving away this case from Lasting Impressions. You can fill the little vials with glitter, beads or anything you want. I'll let random.org pick a winner Monday evening, January 7 and post it here at 8pm EST. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post by 7:45pm. Thanks for stopping by and have a super weekend.......Good Luck!

Christmas Thank You

I found some time to stamp today and decided to make a couple of Christmas Thank You cards. This is what I came up with. I used Fabulous Flowers on the first one and inserted a Rhinestone Brad in the center. All supplies except the ribbon is from Stampin' Up!

The second card I stamped the Poinsettia from TAC on Brushed Gold card stock and embossed it with gold ep. The ribbon, designer paper and card stock are from SU. Thanks for looking and Happy New Year!

Wow! Did you see my counter????? It has passed the 10,000 mark!!!! Check back tomorrow to see what I'm giving away in honor of this milestone. It's Blog Candy time!
