Oops! I don't know what happened to this card. It was here and then it was gone....Now it's here again!
See description below.....

MIA

I will be MIA the rest of this week due to my husband having surgery tomorrow morning. So today I'm sharing two cards I made this past week. The first one didn't scan very well and looks a little washed out. I used Bareback and Wide Open Spaces. The tabs were done using the Slot Punch and I then added eyelets, attached a leather strip with beads and tied in a knot........
This next card was done using the stamp set Set Sail. I decided to do it in Black and White. The purple is not part of the card. I had to use it for the scan so you could tell it was a white card........
That's it for this week. Thanks for stopping by.

Let's Go Shopping....

I found this stamp on clearance at JoAnn's a few weeks ago and decided I had to introduce it to an ink pad. So, today was the day. I like this stamp because I can identify with the saying.......All supplies except the ribbon and the ess clip are from Stampin' Up!.....Card Stock is Confetti White, Night of Navy and Brocade Blue...Ink is Brocade Blue and Night of Navy. The main image was stamped on generic white CS...The background is Print Pattern...
Thanks for stopping in............

Seeing Spots

I made this card the other day while the kids were napping. It's not very often that they all sleep at the same time. So I had a few minutes and this is what I came up with. All supplies are from Stampin' Up! The colors are Old Olive and Rose Red. I used the Seeing Spots and Terrific Tags Stamp Sets and the large and small Tag Punches. The circles accross the bottom were done using a corner punch (non SU) with the guard removed.
Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by........Rita

No Time To Stamp......

Thought you might like to see why I can't find time to stamp. This is Amelia (4mo) and Madison (2mo). I also have Amelia's brother Nolan who just turned 3. They keep me pretty busy with diapers and bottles. Ok, now you can oooh, and aaah. Aren't they just toooo cute??? I made this card with Nolan's help. After putting the lattice down the center and wheeling down the sides I wasn't sure what stamp to use for the main image. Nolan picked the giraffe from In the Wild. So, what do you think, did he do a good job?
Until tomorrow, happy stamping............

AND THE WINNER IS ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

This was sooooo much fun! I don't usually get very much traffic here, so you can understand why 34 posts would get me all excited.....Ok, I wrote all the numbers on paper and put them in a little bowl, that's me drawing out the winner (see what too much bottle washing can do to your habds). Now I suppose you want to know what number I drew. Well it was #30. So Chantale L. if you would be so kind as to send me your address I'll get these things in the mail to you. Thanks to everyone who posted, sorry you couldn't all win. I plan on having another give-away real soon so be sure to come back.......Thanks, Rita

Look What Mr. Brown Brought Me!

I had a workshop last week and this is what I got. It's all trimmed and mounted and waiting for me to play. Where oh where does the time go? I really want to play with these!!!!! Ok, this is not another snow picture, although it does have snow in it. Sorry, that couldn't be helped. What I want you to see is the Goose's new outfit I made. This one is for St. Patrick's Day. Doesn't she look gorgeous? Now you know, stamping isn't the only thing I do....... Don't forget to come back for the winner of the Blog Candy. I will be posting it at 8 pm EST. See you then................Rita

BLOG CANDY

That's right, I have blog candy. I've been visiting a lot of blogs lately that have been giving away "Blog Candy" to their readers and thought it was about time I jumped on the band wagon and gave something away too. So, here it is. I cleaned up my stamping space and found a few things that were crying to be used. Here is what you have a chance to win; A pkg. of Creative Memories scrapbook papers, 2 rubber stamps and 3 stencils (A basket and an Easter egg just in time for Easter). The stamps are from All Night Media and Art Impressions. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and I'll draw a name on Wednesday night at 8pm EST. The winner will be posted as soon as it is drawn. Comments will be taken until 6pm EST to give me time to print them all out, put them in a hat and draw one. So there you have it. Be sure to tell all your friends.
Sorry I don't have anything to share with you today but I'll be back Wednesday with a winner and something I've created. So until then, have a wonderful weekend and good luck.........Rita

Be Mine

I know Valentine's Day is over but I had this card that I made the other day and it's the only thing I have to post. I started with Real Red card stock, layered generic white on top and then Cuttle Bugged another Real Red panel for the top layer. I cut the heart out of Pretty in Pink with my Fiskars cutter and heart template. After stamping BE MINE in the center with my Snap Stamps I then ran a bead of glue around the outside and sprinkled on the beads. This card looks soooo much better in real life. Thanks for looking........

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is what I made for my daughter. I stamped a sheet of Pixie Pink card stock and then used a template to cut out a top and bottom. The top slides on and off. I filled the box with Dove Chocolates and tied a ribbon around it to keep it closed. The tag was made using a tag die and my Big Shot.
I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's day and kept warm. It's still freezing here, we had more snow and sleet last night.

Genie Bags

I made these cute little "Genie Bags" for my granddaughters for Valentine's Day. They were so easy and fun to make. The idea for these came from a stamper named Genie, hence the name "Genie Bag". Robin over at Rubber Stamped Reflections was kind enough to post a tutorial with the instructions so I was able to make them. I stuffed each one with some candy, a stamped note pad, some pencils and a Valentine pen that lights up when you write with it.
Tomorrow I'll show you what I made for my daughter.
Thanks for stopping by.......Rita

A New Toy

I left the house Saturday morning before noon with my shopping list and coupons in one hand and my 40% Hobby Lobby and 40% and 50% JoAnn's coupons in the other. I didn't get home until 4:30! I went to Hobby Lobby first, didn't find a whole lot there so I used my coupon on a $20 card magazine. I did pick up a few small things that were on sale but nothing real outstanding. Then it was off to JoAnn's where I spent the most, got a pattern and some brads on sale. I used my 40% coupon on a Cuddlebug Embossing Folder (set of 4 B'day) and the 50% one on the item to the left. I've always wanted to try one of these so I splurged and bought one. It's a Fiskars Circle Border Punch. This one is called Antique Elegance. It border punches 4" and 6" circles. I got it home and had to try it out right away...........

This is the card I made using my new border punch. All supplies except the white paper are Stampin' Up!
The stamp sets are Bodacious Bouquet and Curvy Verses. Ink colors used were Rose Red , Always Artichoke and Barely Banana marker. Cardstock is Almost Amethyst. I stamped the leaves and then cut them out and adhered them to the card. I thought it looked like it needed something else so I added the button.
So, what do you think? Go ahead, boost my ego and leave a comment...
Happy Stamping, Rita

Delight in Life

Brrrrr! It is freezing here. We got our first big (4 inches) snow fall yesterday. It started around noon and I had an appointment out of town, 20 minutes away, at 2:30. Well, let me tell you it was not a fun trip. When we started for home it had gotten worse and it took us nearly 2 hours to get here. Our daughter came out (3 miles) to watch my daycare kids for me while I was gone. It took her 30 minutes to drive home.
Today's post is the last card we made a the workshop. I saved the best one for last again. On this one we cut the flowers out and colored them with chalk. The leaves were done by cutting one flower in half. The Word Window Punch was used to make the slot for the small card with the sentiment on it and tab at the top. I love these colors together and the way this card turned out. This set is one of the Sell-A-Bration sets and after making this card I decided to get it. I can't wait for it to get here. Thanks for looking and try to stay warm.............Rita

In Full Bloom

This is one of my all time favorite stamp sets, In Full Bloom by Stampin' Up! We made this card at my workshop Saturday using that set and the Happy Everything set. We outlined the flowers with a Stampin' Write Marker and then filled them in with chalk. Although this is just a simple layered card I'm very pleased with the way it turned out.
Thanks for looking........Rita

Seeing Spots

OK, I had my workshop Saturday and we had a great time, But then we always do. I was a little disappointed that we didn't try any new techniques, our demo was in a hurry and there wasn't enough time. Anyway we did make three really nice cards. This one we did using the Seeing Spots stamp set. The ink and card stock colors are Certainly Celery and Cranberry Crisp. Thanks for looking and Happy Stamping..........

Free Stuff and A Copy

My friend Wanda had a give-away this week and I won. Yea!!! Here's all the neat stuff I got in the mail today. Fancy fibers, tie ons. and a rubber stamp. You can visit Wanda's blog and see all the wonderful things she does by clicking on the link to the left, My Creative Corner. Tell her I sent you.....................................................................................................

The card I'm sharing today is one I tried to copy from the stampin' techniques booklet, page 15. I stamped on Turquoise card stock so my image looks different. I really liked this card and just had to make one for myself.
I'm having a workshop tomorrow so I should have something to share with you next week.
I'm not a football fan and will not be watching the "BIG" game on Sunday. So, for my daughter and son in-law, GO COLTS!
Thanks for stopping by. Have a Blessed weekend........Rita

Christmas Card Challenge

Sorry I've been AWOL again but today I was sick and I have no excuse for yesterday other than the fact that I haven't had a lot of time to stamp anything.
On another note, I joined a challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. We make 10 Christmas cards each month and then post them on the site. By the time Christmas gets here again I'll have 110 cards already made and ready to go. Now I don't send out that many cards each year, so I can either save them for another year or sell the extra ones. Anyway, I'll be prepared.
This is the card I did for February. I used Garden Green card stock for the base card. Then I ran a piece of Shimmery White card stock through my Big Shot with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder to make the snowflakes (gotta love those Cuttlebugs). I turned the embossed piece over and brayered over the back side with Garden Green ink. I stamped my images on the Shimmery White and cut them out with the large Tag Punch. The top of the tags were done with the Word Window Punch and attached with a white brad. I colored the snowman tag with Gel Pens. This is a little more whimsical then what I usually make for Christmas but it was a lot of fun.
Stay tuned to see what I come up with for March. Thanks for looking.
