Birthday Giveaway

I was blog browsing the other day and ran across another blog with the same name as mine. I really wanted mine to be unique, so in case you didn't notice I've re-spelled (is that a word?) my title. I am now unique, I hope. Now on with the Birthday Giveaway I promised. I am giving to 1 lucky winner this boxed stamp set. It has 5 different stamps and each one has several words on it. The categories are Thanks & Traditions, Birthdays, Holiday, Love and Wedding & Baby. The top of the box holds an ink pad.....But wait!!!!! There's more! I'll also draw for 2 runners up.

They'll each get the items pictured here on the left. Remember that cute little ladybug button on the card I had on a previous post? You will each get 3 of those along with a giant paperclip to decorate, a tin to alter and some scalloped circles and squares in assorted colors....Now all you have to do is leave a comment on this post and I'll pick the winners using the Internet random number selector... Since I don't post on weekends the winners will be posted Monday evening around 8pm EDT. Good luck and tell all your friends........

Birthday Pig

This is the last Birthday Card for this week. The pig is from a TAC set and the Happy Birthday is from the Vertical Greetings set by Stampin' Up! Card stock is Cameo Coral and Rose Red. I added Stickles glitter glue to the balloons and candles on the cake. I found this cute little heart shaped button that I thought would be perfect for the nose. I then added doodles around the scallop.
Don't forget tomorrow is the Birthday Giveaway so be sure to come back and see what I'm giving away....Thanks for looking.

Wild About You

This card was made with the child in mind. I stamped the alligator on generic white card stock and adhered it to Glorious Green card stock. I then cut around the edges with a pair of decorative scissors and attached it to the Yo Yo Yellow card front. I used vogue Verses for the sentiment and stamped it with Brilliant Blue ink. All supplies except the white cs is Stampin' Up!
Thanks for looking, and don't forget the Birthday Giveaway is just two day away.....

Looks Like Spring

Before I get to today's card I would like to give you all an update on how my husband is doing. He's still having some pain but all in all he's doing quite well. He was outside most of today doing yard work and burning brush (we live in the country so we're allowed to do that). So thanks to all who asked. Now for today's card. I used Looks Like Spring for this card. It's hard to tell but I put a flower (similar to Prima) in the center and attached a rhinestone bling. I don't know what's up with the color, it looks red but IRL it is actually Rose Red. The card stock colors are Rose Red, Sage Shadow and Night of navy. All products except the flower and the bling are from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by, hope you all have a great evening.............Rita

Ladybug Birthday

Good afternoon fellow bloggers. I'm posting early today because I'm not sure what the weather will be doing later. I've had two computers hit with lightening and I'm not taking any chances. As promised this is the first Birthday Card for the week, I'll be posting one each day leading up to the BIG giveaway. I used my CB Embossing folder for the background on Basic Black card stock. The ladybug was stamped on Real Red and adhered over the White Organdy Ribbon. I found these cute ladybug buttons at Wal-Mart the other day and just couldn't resist buying them. They have a shank on the back and fit perfectly on the ribbon. The sentiment was stamped with Real Red using Dot Greetings from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping in..............Rita

More Quick and Easy

In staying with this weeks theme, here are two more quick and easy cards. The first one was done by stamping a background stamp on Creamy Caramel card stock. I then tore the corner and adhered it to Mellow Moss card stock, stamped the saying and all done. Super quick and easy!

The second card was done using the zebra pattern embossing plate from Ellison Designs. I then rubbed my Basic Black ink pad across the top. The zebras are from the In the Wild stamp set from Stampin' Up!
I punched two holes in the bottom and attached gold eyelets with my Crop-a-Dile.
I then tied a length of twine through the eyelets, adhered to card front and done. Very quick and easy! Next week I will be posting all birthday cards in preparation to Friday's birthday giveaway. Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for looking..............Rita

Punchy ATC

Did you notice anything different tonight? Not only did I change my background but also the title. I thought since it's Spring, and that means everything fresh and new, that I would start fresh and new.

Let me know what you think of the new look and title...

If you're interested in some Blog Candy then head on over to Michelle's at http://blog.michellescrapbooking.com/ (I wish I knew how to link). While you're there check out her other posts and be sure to tell her I sent you.

Today's entry is a Black and White ATC that I made for another swap. I used my new embossing punch across the bottom and I like the way it looks. Thanks for looking and don't forget Birthday Blog Candy next Friday, right here. You're not going to want to miss this one.............Rita

Mustard Roses

I haven't been feeling well for the past week. I've had Bronchitis and Laryngitis. This morning I got up with a headache and my whole face hurt. I think I now also have a sinus infection. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow so hopefully he'll give me something to knock this out. Anyway, I did get some time to stamp today and this is what I made. I got this stamp set last week and just now got around to trying it out. I also got a new border punch by Fiskars over the weekend while on a retail therapy shopping trip. It punches and embosses at the same time. I thought it would go really well with this stamp set.
Card Recipe:
Stamp Set-Roses in Winter
Card stock- Brocade Blue and generic White
Ink Colors: Brocade Blue, More Mustard, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip
Ribbon is Brocade Blue...All supplies except the white card stock and the border punch are Stampin' Up!
Thanks for looking and don't forget to come back for my Birthday giveaway.........Rita

Quick and Easy

Wow, I can't believe I forgot to post last night. Sorry about that. I haven't had a lot of time to stamp lately, so the best I can do for now is some really quick and easy cards. Starting with this card using Lovely as A Tree. I embossed the Close to Cocoa card stock with the Paisley embossing plate from Ellison and using my Big Shot. The Oak Tree was stamped on Old Olive using Close to Cocoa ink and then punched the corners with the Ticket Corner Punch. I added the orange clip with Close To Cocoa ribbon tied to it for extra color, adhered it to the card front and done....
Something BIG is about to happen. I'm giving away some Blog Candy on my birthday which is a week and a half away. So, keep checking in or you might miss out on something really nice.
Thanks for looking........Rita

Bubbling with Joy

I can't believe it's finally Friday ..Woo Hoo! This has been a loooong week. The weather here has been crazy, 70's two days in a row and then back down in the 30's. I now have laryngitis thanks to the temperature changes. I gave one of my mother's notice to find child care somewhere else so now I'm just counting the days until I'm stress free again. I don't know how I was able to stand all the screaming for the last 3 months. She really needs to be in a home where there are no other children....OK, so much for that. Here's the card I promised the other day. This was made using one of the stamps I got with the Blog Candy from Ashley. I used my Snap Stamps to stamp the saying at the bottom (bubbling with joy). The ink and card stock are from Stampin' Up! And the paper is from TAC.
Thanks for looking and have a Blessed weekend..........Rita

Card Club #4

When I saw the color combination for this card my first thought was to make it for a Birthday. I'm thinking Over the Hill!!!!!! I like the way this turned out with the Faux Stitching and ribbon. I think I'll start looking for just the right sentiment to put on the inside and send it to my sister in-law when she turns 60 this year.......
Thanks for looking and have a great evening.

TideScrubber/March Card Club

OK, so you're wondering why I have my Tide Stain Scrubber in my stamping space....Well it's like this, I don't have any stains to use it on and it works great on cleaning rubber stamps. I had some stamps that needed some special attention and this really did the job! Just spray some stamp cleaner on the stamp and use your little scrubber to get into all those little crevices...................

I just finished my March Card Club cards and will now share them with you. This month the featured stamp set is All I Have Seen. This is another one of my favorites because it can be used for masculine cards as well as feminine ones........Thanks for stopping in.

My Baby Turned 38 Today

Yep, that's right. My baby turned 38 today. I know, it doesn't seem possible since I just had her yesterday, but that's her blowing out the candles on her cake. That's her baby watching.......

My card for today was done using Wild Rose stamped on Linen Background.
All products used are from Stampin Up! Thanks for looking and have a Blessed weekend........Rita

A Little Buggy

I bought this ribbon a long time ago and couldn't wait to use it. It laid in my ribbon box all this time until today when I decided to get it out and play with it. My bugs from TAC wanted to come out and play too so This is what I ended up with. I love pink and black together and these matched the ribbon perfectly. I put glitter on the wings to give it some sparkle and chalked a little pink on her eyes. Card Stock and Ink are Stampin' Up!
Hubby is doing well and things are back to normal once again.
Thanks for stopping in..........Rita

ATC's

First of all I would like to thank you all for the prayers and kind comments concerning my husband. He finally came home today. It's been a long week and I'm really wiped out. I did get some time to stamp today and decided to work on an ATC swap I'm in. Once I got started I couldn't stop and I finished them all. I signed up for 3 groups and this is what I came up with. The stamp sets are Happy Harmony,Very Punny and Delight in Life from the Sell-A-Bration Mini Catalog......Click on the picture to enlarge it.Thanks for looking......

March Christmas Cards

My husband is still in the hospital so I didn't have time to stamp today. He's scheduled for more x-rays tomorrow so hopefully everything will be OK and he'll be able to come home.
These are the Christmas cards I made for March. So far I've made 30 cards for next Christmas, woo hoo! For these I used Let it Snow from TAC for the main image. The card stock, ribbon and designer paper is from SU. I used Not Quite Navy card stock and ink. I ran out of designer paper and didn't want to cut into another sheet so I embossed the last four with the CB Snowflake embossing folder and added the ribbon. I didn't really think it would be this much fun making Christmas Cards all year. I'm glad I joined this challenge.......Rita

Checking In

Sorry I don't have anything to share with you today, but I did want to let you all know my hubby is still in the hospital. He's doing well but things are not "moving" as quickly as expected. They did a CT scan this morning to make sure everything was healing properly inside. The big news was the biopsy showed no cancer. As you probably know he's not a happy camper, more like a grumpy bear. He just wants to come home. If I have some time tonight I'll try to get something made to post tomorrow. Thanks to everyone that has asked about my husband. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness. Thank you very much!
I hope everyone is having a good weekend. Happy stamping........Rita
