Reasons to Smile

This is the first card I've made with this set. I just haven't been able to come up with any ideas for it. This is what I finally ended up with, nothing spectacular..... The butterfly was stamped on white card stock with Almost Amethyst. I then used a spray adhesive to add a dryer sheet to it. While still wet I sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter on top to give it some sparkle. This was layered on Barely Banana. The sentiment was punched out using the small tag punch and a small rhinestone makes the o in you. All stamps, ink and card stock is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for looking............Rita

Sidekick Sayings

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I went for my Echo cardiogram Saturday morning and then out for breakfast. We went to Perkins and I had way more than I could eat. They have the best breakfast menu around. Yesterday was church and then two loads of laundry and sheets to change. Sounds like the perfect weekend doesn't it?
Anyway, the card I'm sharing today is one I made Friday with my new Sidekick Sayings. I just love this set so much. I stamped a background in Old Olive using the stem and leaf stamp on Whisper White card stock. I layered that on top of Barely Banana and added photo corners punched out of Old Olive and Barely Banana. I added some little squigglies (made up word) around the outside. The main image was stamped in Old Olive on Whisper White card stock. I used Stampin' Write Markers on the flower and added a rhinestone stickie (another made up word).
All supplies used are Stampin' Up!
Thanks for looking and Happy Stamping..............Rita

TGIF-The Last Three Cards

Since I was AWOL yesterday I decided to post the last three cards together. The first one is using the Season of Joy set from the Holiday Mini and the last two are Peace on Earth (retired). I'm not real pleased with the way the last two turned out.
I hope you didn't get too bored looking at my OSW cards. I'm hoping to have something new to share with you next week.
Tomorrow I go for an Echo cardiogram and then we're going out for breakfast. When we get home I'll have house cleaning to do and maybe a little stamping time. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for stopping by...........Rita

OSW #8 & 9

Here are cards number 8 & 9. I used the retired SU set called Peace on Earth for these. The first one has a star button attached to the ribbon and the other one has some fancy fiber. Wow, I actually added some embellishments.....Thanks for looking....Please pray for all those in California affected by the fire. My niece lives near San Diego and may have to leave soon.........Thanks, Rita

OSW #6 & 7

Well you must be getting tired of these by now, so I'm going to post the rest of them two at a time. Here's number 6 & 7. As you can see I didn't put a lot (actually none) of embellishment on these. I just wanted them to be quick and easy..........Thanks for looking...Rita

It's Monday and OSW #6

Good morning all, hope you're all enjoying this beautiful Monday. I went to physical therapy this morning so I'm hurting a little more than usual. They really give you a good work out. I had a rough day
Saturday pain wise. I went shopping and forgot to change my shoes. I have a lift in the ones I'm supposed to wear and believe me I don't think I'll forget the next time. I did however get some time in to clean up my craft room. My husband put up a shelf for me and installed a light under it so I now have more light to see what I'm doing. I had the hard job of putting everything back. Yesterday wasn't a good day either. I was having bladder problems and had to just stay in and take it easy. Why is it that this always happens on the week-end? Anyway, I'm all set to start a new week with PT and I see my doctor on Wednesday to talk over the results of my last breathing test, gee I hope this is good news........
Here's the sixth card I made from the One Sheet Wonder. I'm sure glad I got all these made since I haven't had time to stamp lately. At least I now have a clean table to work on when I get the time. Thanks for looking!

One Sheet Wonder

I finally decided to try making some cards using the One Sheet Wonder technique. I chose a sheet from the Just Delightful Simply Scrappin' kit. I cut it down to 8 1/2 x 11 and printed the cutting lines on the back. The stamp set I chose to use was Seasons of Joy from the Winter Mini. Other card stock and ink colors I used were Handsome Hunter, Summer Sun and Close to Cocoa. I got a total of 12 cards from that one sheet of designer paper......Thanks for looking....Rita

A Wave of Light

I just wanted to get this posted early for all to see. I'll be back later with a card to share.......Rita

Something to Think About

Thought I would post some fun things for you to think about today. I got this from my sister in-law and just wanted to share it with you. Hope you're all having a great weekend........

ONLY IN America .... do drugstores make
the sick walk all the way to the back of the store
to get their prescriptions while healthy people
can buy cigarettes at the front.
Only in America ...... do people order
double cheeseburgers, large fries,
and a diet coke.
Only in America ...... do banks leave
both doors open and then chain
the pens to the counters.
Only in America ...... do we leave cars worth
thousands of dollars in the driveway and
put our useless junk in the garage.
Only in America ... ... do we buy hot dogs in packages
of ten and buns in packages of eight.
Only in America ...... do we use the word 'politics'
to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning
'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.
Only in America ...... do they have drive-up
ATM machines with Braille lettering.
EVER WONDER .... Why the sun lightens our hair,
but darkens our skin?
Why women can't put on mascara
with their mouth closed?!
Why don't you ever see the headline
"Psychic Wins Lottery"?
Why is "abbreviated" such a long word?
Why is it that doctors call what they do "practice"?
Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor,
and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons?
Why is the man who invests
all your money called a broker?
Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic
called rush hour?
Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?
Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes?
Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?
You know that indestructible black box that is used
on airplanes? Why don't they make
the whole plane
out of that stuff?!
Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?
Why are they called apartments
when they are all stuck together?
If con is the opposite of pro,
is Congress the opposite of progress?
If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport
the terminal?

No Time to Stamp

I can't believe I haven't stamped anything this week. I just haven't had the opportunity to do so. I have to go to PT twice a week for a back problem I've been having and then come home to three babies to care for. My time for stamping is few and far between. Since I didn't post anything yesterday I felt the need to post something today. So here are some purse cards I made last week to put in with stamp sets that I traded. I stamped Thanks inside each one. They were made using the Coluzzle Purse Template and SU designer paper. I really hope I can find some time to stamp this weekend......Thanks for looking.....Rita

And the Magic Number Is.................

208!....That's right, I have 208 stamp sets from Stampin' Up! and I've only been stamping for 3 years. No one guessed it so I'm taking the closest answer which was 202 by Janet Allen.
Janet, send me your address so I can get your prize in the mail.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to leave a comment, sorry everyone couldn't win.
I'm finding it harder and harder to get any stamping done. I have three babies (3,5&10 mo) here every day and they take up most of my time. So I don't have anything to share with you today.....Sorry, maybe tomorrow.

Baby Food Treats

We still don't have a winner for the candy. There are a couple that are very close so keep guessing. You can guess as many time as you want. If no one guesses it by tomorrow at 8pm EST I will choose the one that is the closest without going over. You may submit your guess on this post or the previous one.
************************************************************************
Here's what I'm doing with all those baby food containers I have cluttering up my craft room. I just can't seem to throw them away. I put M&M's in this one. Let me know if you have any ideas for what else I can do with them. Thanks for looking...............Rita
