Lovely as A Tree

This is the last of the cards we made at the Christmas Open House I went to a while back. We used the all time favorite set Lovely As A Tree. This set is so versatile, it can be used for Christmas, Masculine cards, Sympathy, Birthday, Thinking of You, Thank You, Note Cards or just about anything you can think of. I love this set and will probably never part with it.

This will be my last post until after the first of the year. I've run out of samples to share with you and with the Holidays upon us I don't have a lot of time to make more. Besides that I have to get started on my Christmas cards so I can get them in the mail. I hope you all come back to visit when I return and have a safe and Happy Holiday Season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all. Thanks for visiting this past year, I hope to have a lot more to share with you in 2009.

We Have A Winner

There were only 3 votes so it didn't take very long to write all the names on papers and draw a winner. Sample #5

I used the same stamp set, Snow Swirled, for this card as well. I don't know why but the silver cord looks purple in the close up. Sample #4

This is the fourth sample in the set. I used the same stamps as yesterday. This one was stamped with VersaMark on Riding Hood Red and then embossed with white embossing powder. If this is your favorite then you want to vote for number 4. Thanks for looking.....

Day 2-Sample 3

Here's sample number three. this one uses the Snow Swirled stamp set. The tree was stamped on Kiwi Kiss with Versa Mark and embossed with White EP. I then cut it out, added the brads and silver cord and attached it to the Riding Hood Red with dimensionals. Thanks for looking!

Christmas Card Giveaway

Here are the first two sample cards I made for Christmas this year. I will be posting the other four each day this week. Take a look and help me decide which one I will be sending out this year. Happy Thanksgiving

I saw this cute punched turkey somewhere and decided to give it a try. I changed the colors and I'm not sure if I used the same punches as the original, but here's my version made into a card. I stamped leaves on the background to give it a fall look. Click on the image for a better look.
Next week I will be posting the Christmas Card Samples I've been working on. I need your help to choose the one I will be sending this year. Punched Girl Birthday

I have this little girl I watch and her birthday is this month. Lydia will be four and I wanted to make her a special card. I saw this idea somewhere and decided to see if I could copy it. I used different colors and I'm not sure if I used the same punches. She told me one day that she likes butterflies so I stamped them in the background. Merry and Bright

Well here we are going into the second week of November already. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and Christmas will be here before we know it. I worked on some of my Christmas cards this past weekend. After I finish all my samples then the hard part, deciding which one to use, maybe I'll let you decide for me.

A Cardinal Christmas

Good evening everyone. I hope you're all having a good week. I looked at the calendar today and decided it's time to start my Christmas Cards. Wow!!! It seems like I just finished making last years. Where does the time go???? Anyway, here's one of the cards we made at the open house I went to last weekend. We stamped the image with Black Craft Ink and embossed it with Black EP before coloring it in with markers. I love this card.....Thanks for looking..Rita

Expandable File Box

Well I hope you all got out there and voted today. I went at 9 this morning and the line was very long, but I got through pretty quick. This is a very important part of being an American, so if you didn't exercise your right to vote today then don't complain if your party doesn't win.........
Okay, now for today's project. I went to a class and we made these really nice expandable file boxes. I used Afternoon Tea Designer Series Paper for mine. This is the front, closed. This is the side view......
