Natural Beauty

What a great weekend I had. Saturday we took a day trip up north to visit some friends that moved a few months ago. I watched their kids for three years and really hated to see them go. It was nice seeing them again, kids grow so fast in that short length of time. Sunday was church and then I spent the afternoon cleaning the house. We went out for dinner and stopped to see our daughter and her family before coming home. ......
Did you notice my new blog award on the right? My BFF Adrian sent that to me and now I have to think of three other bloggers to send it to. This may take some time since most of the ones I know already have theirs. Anyway, Jen over at Pieces of Me designed this award for us to send to those we felt deserved it, which is every stamping blogger I know. Stampers are just about the best people you would want to know. I feel really honored to have been chosen. Thanks Adrian!
OK, now for today's card I chose Natural Beauty which I haven't used in a long time. I stamped the flowers on Lavender Lace card stock and then cut them out. I then put yellow brads through the centers and attached them with glue dots. The leaves were stamped on the So Saffron card top. I ran the bottom (Lavender Lace) through my Big Shot using the flower embossing folder. The photo corners were cut with the photo corner punch. All supplies except the embossing folder, brads and ribbon are from Stampin' Up! I added the photo corners because it looked like it needed something and I wasn't sure what. Now I'm not sure if that was the right thing to add. What do you think?
Thanks for looking...............Rita OLD-TIMERS
An old-timer is someone who could read a novel without having to hide it from the children each time he put it down.

I think it is really pretty just as it is, but, then naturally, I think everything you do is beautiful. I can not say it often enough, you are so talented. Love you. Aunt M.
